2003 Audi A6 - Affordable luxury
I have a 2003 Audi a6 Quattro 2.7t. I love how powerful and luxurious the interior is. the AWD system makes me feel very safe in all weather conditions. it has excellent handling and is very spacious for me and my whole family. I have two kids and they love the car. it has heated front and rear seats and very supple leather and brushed aluminum everywhere. my friends can't believe that I can afford a car this nice. I have taken it on several vacation trips to Florida. it has the cold weather package which has a pass through for skis so that you can close the trunk with a pair of skis in it. overall it is a very nice car and if you can work on the car yourself they aren't too bad to own.
Story
I actually raced my little brother in his 325i because he thought that it was faster than my Audi and I beat him pretty badly lol.
Pros
Some of my favorite things about the car is how fast it is. On the highway it will do 100mph very easily. I also love the AWD system, it keeps the car very planted. I also love the leather they used on the interior. it feels very nice.
Cons
The only real cons I have about the car are that the parts and labor to repair anything that goes wrong with the car are very expensive. I spent $500 on upper and lower control arm bushings. Its also very hard to do even simple repair jobs. I had to replace the thermostat on it, which on my bow takes about an hour to do, and it took about 8 hours because you have to basically remove the entire front accessories of the engine just to replace a $20 part. I wish it was easier to work on.
2003 Audi A6 - Long-lasting value
Although this is an older car, it's built to last. Still in great condition—the interior has not faded nor has the felt started to sag. It has a very powerful engine and handles curves very well. This is a fun car to drive. It is very spacious and has all the modern luxuries you would expect in a new car. Bluetooth, satellite radio, memory position seats, seat warmers, daytime running lights, and lots of airbags. If properly maintained, this car can last forever. It is very safe and fun to drive.
Story
When I bought the car, the check engine light was on. We were told it was the secondary air pump (which injects air into the engine during ignition) It comes on and runs for about two minutes when you start the car. Very common when this goes bad, it starts to squeal. We took it to a mechanic, and it was just low on hydraulic fluid. Since topping it off, the light went off and pump is much q... (more)
Pros
Super powerful engine, very luxurious interior, and beautiful outside line—very attractive car. Very spacious interior and lots of trunk room (two sets of golf clubs fit in there). This car does not seem to age.
Cons
Gas economy is not great, and it does require top of the line gas. Also, maintenance is going to be a little more pricey on this car—things like hydraulic fluid can cost $30 a bottle!
