The 2005 PT Cruiser is my favorite car of all time. I have owned it for 5 years now and every day I'm excited to get in it and drive. For starters- the design. This is a sharp looking car. It has nice lines and trim options. The champagne color is especially nice with the grey interior. The car has two buckets seats in front, separated by the gear shift and center console with 4 cup holders. The rear seat is split, with a small side that can be removed independently. This is one of the only cars I've found that can fit 3 car seats across in the back seat! The hatch space is amazing too, it holds a double stroller, a single stroller, a cooler, and my tool kit. The engine is powerful for a 4 cylinder. I live in a mountainous area and this little car can hold its own even on the steepest ... (more)
Story
I once drove this car 4 hours to the beach with 2 kids and all our gear. I was surprised at how well everything fit and we were still comfortable in the seats. Then, once we got to the beach, it was nice to use the back hatch and platform as a table for our picnic.
Pros
One pro of this car is the size. We refer to it as the "PT Tardis". It just keeps taking stuff and there's always room for more. I love the easy steering and tight turn radius.
Cons
The only negative I've found so far is that the wheel bearings seem to wear out pretty quickly. We replace them every 2-3 years.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Acceleration is poor

What I like about the vehicle is that the interior is roomy. Another thing I like about the vehicle is the driver and passenger front seats. They are very comfortable and spacious where your legs are not crammed in. One of my dislikes is that it is horrible for acceleration from a dead stop. It struggles to have pickup when you press the accelerator. Some of the components in the engine are hard to get to because of how the engine compartment is set up. I don't like where they situated the stick to check the oil. It is far in the back and hard to get to.
Story
I took my dog for a ride in the car, and he loved sitting in my lap and having his head out the window. It was pretty fun watching him enjoy himself.
Pros
The top positive things on this vehicle is the roominess of the interior. I can put a lot of things in the rear of the vehicle. I also like the fact the rear seats fold down which gives me even more room for item in the back. My favorite feature of the vehicle is the front seats. They are plush with arm rests similar to captain chairs that make for a very comfortable ride.
Cons
Top negative about this vehicle is that the hubcaps are not well attached. I have had 3 of them fly off going down the road in less than 6 months. Also, the gas mileage is not very good for city driving.
