Overall, this is a good car at a great price.
I enjoy the look and feel of the PT Cruiser. I think it looks sporty for a nearly mid-size car. I also like the fact that the car is higher off the ground than a compact. My previous car was an Elantra, which I liked, but I felt it road too low to the ground. The biggest detractor is a blind spot on the back left. If I'm crossing lanes, this spot is rather larger. (You can see the large blind spot if you look at the space between the back window and passenger windows in the back of the car. The car is currently at 65000 miles. I've had the breaks replaced several times and the tires replaced twice. There is a slight issue when the air is running. The car "shudders" a bit; though the mechanic has looked at this issue, I have not had it repaired to my satisfaction. The car gets good gas mileage. My commute is about 16 miles a day, and I fill up on gas just once a week or less. The sound system in the car is CD-based, but also has an MP3 input. I've recently had my first child. My wife and I weren't too happy about how the car seat fits on the back seat. (Due to the angle, we had to put a blanket under the car seat to prop it up a bit.) This is a minor complaint, but something I think should be addressed for parents looking for a good car.

The size of this vehicle is ideal for a single person or small family. It is compact, yet spacious. Accommodated a younger family of 5 comfortably for short road trips. No issues with exterior or interior, however after the 1st year, mechanical issues were non-stop. Performed well when it was still in good working condition. Car was 5 years old when purchased with 104,000 miles.
