I enjoy the look and feel of the PT Cruiser. I think it looks sporty for a nearly mid-size car. I also like the fact that the car is higher off the ground than a compact. My previous car was an Elantra, which I liked, but I felt it road too low to the ground. The biggest detractor is a blind spot on the back left. If I'm crossing lanes, this spot is rather larger. (You can see the large blind spot if you look at the space between the back window and passenger windows in the back of the car. The car is currently at 65000 miles. I've had the breaks replaced several times and the tires replaced twice. There is a slight issue when the air is running. The car "shudders" a bit; though the mechanic has looked at this issue, I have not had it repaired to my satisfaction. The car gets good gas ... (more)
Story
I love driving around with my dog in the passenger side. She sits up in such a way that she looks like a passenger. (Driving through Pittsburgh tunnels and then seeing the cityscape open up with my dog in the passenger side is a memory I will always cherish.)
Pros
I like the audio options and the fact that the car sits higher than most cars in its class. I think the car rides smooth as well. I know it sounds random, but I also like the fact that the middle counsel controls all windows. (Kids in the back can't open and close their windows. The driver controls all four.)
Cons
There is a very large blind spot that makes it difficult to see cars when switching lanes. Their is also a regulator sensor error common with PT Cruisers. (I've had mine changed three times.) The back seat feels a bit too inclined, like the passenger is going to fall forward. This has been a problem for the car seat my wife and I installed for our infant. We had to prop up the car seat with a blanket to make it level.

The size of this vehicle is ideal for a single person or small family. It is compact, yet spacious. Accommodated a younger family of 5 comfortably for short road trips. No issues with exterior or interior, however after the 1st year, mechanical issues were non-stop. Performed well when it was still in good working condition. Car was 5 years old when purchased with 104,000 miles.
Story
Don't have one.
Pros
Worked well for 1st year of ownership with minor issues. Compact, yet spacious inside. Ample space in hatchback trunk for groceries, luggage, or sports equipment.
Cons
Once mechanical issues began, they were non-stop. Car barely started during winter months, continues to overheat after multiple repairs, hesitates during initial acceleration and may turn off without notice.
