I have owned my 2014 Dodge Caravan SXT for about 6 months. So far I have had no issues with it. It drives smoothly and has sufficient power from the V6 engine. The build quality on the outside is average with rather thin flimsy panels. The interior quality is sufficient but there are no bells and whistles, just a plain interior that gives you only what you need, I do like the fact that the current speed is displayed digitally on the dashboard as well as on the speedometer. The ride quality of the 2014 Dodge Caravan seems to be improved upon compared to previous models, its turning radius is smaller and the steering wheel is very easy (almost too easy) to turn. The engine is very quiet thus it is easy to have a conversation while driving without raising your voice. The Caravan gets ab... (more)
Story
When I first got the car, I almost took it back because I didn't like the way it was shifting. When driving around it seemed to shift up at the latest possible time and shift down right at the last second when I was about to put my foot on the gas. I did some researched and discovered that "Econ mode" causes the transmission to skip gears and delay shifting. Turning this off solved this proble... (more)
Pros
The interior room is excellent. The driving experience is great, with easy steering, small turning radius, quiet and powerful engine. The vehicle comfortably seats 7, and feels like you are driving a much smaller car.
Cons
Gas mileage is only OK, but that is to be expected from a minivan. It is difficult to get used to the transmission timing, it shifts up and down at unexpected times, even more so with the Econ mode on. The exterior panels are very thin and flimsy.
