Great family carrier
I am quiet happy with my 2011 Dodge Caravan. It is absolutely perfect for carrying my large family around town, or on longer road trips. The cost of the van was very reasonable, we got a better discount by choosing a red color that no one else seemed to want, but to save a few thousand dollars the color choice did not really matter to us that much.

Space for 3 kids and 5 dogs.
We purchased the vehicle when we adopted our 3 children. We previously owned a Subaru and it just wasn't working for us. We travel frequently to visit family and the DVD player has been a life saver. The fold down seats have been very helpful because we have 2 mastiffs and 3 small dogs in addition to the kids. The significant con has been it's performance in the snow. We live in northern New Hampshire and get a LOT of snow, if we do not have tires with significant studs, we just slide all over the place. Even with the tires, I have to be pulled out of the snow at least once a year. The other issue that I am not thrilled with is it's performance on hills, there are times that it feels we are not going to make it up. Despite these negatives, I would purchase again.

Comfortable and roomy
This van seats six to seven people comfortably, and when you remove the back seats, it has plenty of cargo space. The Caravan was purchased used from its owner three years ago and had mechanical issues. I replaced the key/ignition module on the steering column, had a new seal put on the oil pan, had the cluster panel on the dash repairs and replaced the heater module on the dash. Since then, I have had a slow oil leak, but it is manageable. The mileage is acceptable at around 17 city and 23 highway, which is surprising for a vehicle with over 250,000 miles on it. The seats are in great shape, and the interior has held up well over the years. It starts like a dream every time, and I have confidence it will get me where I am going. As a disabled person, it is so helpful to be able to conveniently load groceries into the back, and the driver seat is easy to get in and out of. I would recommend a Dodge Caravan to my friends, provided they know that it will have some maintenance needs over time.
