I have the Dodge dart. It is blue and has 4 doors. I love the gas mileage but that is about it. I feel that it is plastic and cheaply made. However, it still costs me about $25k. I had to finance the purchase. I have always owned new cars and I have t say this was the one I am most disappointed in. I want t trade it everyday.
Story

Pros
I love the color and gas mileage only. I couldn't wait to order this vehicle when it came out. I waited 8 weeks on this to be special ordered. Wow was I excited.
Cons
I cant stand this vehicle. Every time I get into it I want to trade it in. However, I want to be debt free more than I want a new car. I am going to hang onto this and tough it out. It is only 2 years old and I have 3 years left to pay on it unless I can speed up the payments. But the day I pay it off I will consider trading on something else. I have had to get new tires already and expect that something will break now that I am out of warranty before the day that I can pay it off.

The Dodge Dart is not the steadfast performance vehicle boasted by the rest of the Dodge marquee. It isn't going to turn heads like a Challenger, Charger or Viper. What it will do is provide great ride quality and exceptional gas mileage with a spacious interior. The compact market is stacked with great vehicles, but the Dart leave an impression nevertheless.
Story
I've driven it across the United States and it has been a rock-solid vehicle. No issues whatsoever.
Pros
- Gas mileage (30 city/40 hwy) - Ride quality (nonexistent road noise) - Styling (still a looker)
Cons
- Lack of pick-up (160 HP and 3200 lbs don't mix)

2013 Dodge Dart - A running car, not flashy and tricky mechanically.

So overall, the exterior of the car is nice looking and durable. It has spent time in desert and temperate climates and has held up better than some cars I've owned. But the interior is poorly engineered and made with seemingly cheap materials throughout. As a result, it has aged before its time without heavy use--just as a daily driver with occasionally an unimpressed passenger to echo my deep regret in financing this particular vehicle.
Story
The car is heavy, as I found out pushing it up a very mild grade into my parking spot. It has a small engine. But it handles super well in the mountains of CO, both up and down, which I didn't expect. The drive train is solid and definitely fun to drive in the right conditions. To this I will also add, the car does truly well in slippery conditions, and that is a huge plus in this state.
Pros
For the price, the trim level gets some features that were higher end at the time of purchase. All electronic controls, from the windows to the economy settings. Bluetooth connectivity that works well (most of the time). The car doesn't have a lot of acceleration but works great on the highways, handles the mountains in CO without crying about it, and is actually surprisingly capable in the snow. The car goes when I see SUVs spinning out and struggling to stop.
Cons
When there is a mechanical issue, it tends to have a phantom element to it--coming and going, almost impossible to make appear when a mechanic is looking at it, and when they spot it, they have trouble pinpointing the specific cause. We've been through three batteries, replaced the (expensive) alternator, and had recurring issues that show up in the electronics of the vehicle. I'd gladly trade in the bells and whistles for a decent running beater, but we have some time before we pay it off. The shocks have gone at only 38,000 miles, but I understand this is a Dodge trait and is par for ... (more)
