The van is roomy and the "stow-and-go" feature is convenient if you are someone who needs to convert your vehicle from a minivan to a mini cargo van from time to time. It does save on renting trucks to move furniture. However, the way the seats are stored allows for multiple cracks and crevices in the floor of the van. When you have kids, this makes it really hard to clean the crumbs out of the van completely. It is difficult to get passengers in and out the very back of the van, because the middle seats don't move out of the way unless you store them in the floor, which requires you to move the front seats up as far as they will go first. Not convenient when someone is already sitting in one or both. Also, the electronic side doors are nice... When they work appropriately. They don't... (more)
Story
We drove the van to a drive-through safari once. People had recommended that we take a car with 4 windows which opened for the full experience but I felt that the van was nice because we didn't have animals coming in all the windows and everywhere looking for food. We fed the animals from our two windows up front and had our toddler son up front with us and everyone enjoyed the experience.
Pros
I like the electronic side doors, when they work, and the hatch that opens and shuts itself...Again, when it works/worked. I also like that it has a lot of room for passengers and things. It's fairly comfortable for long road trips. Stow and Go is great for camping...
Cons
Electronic issues...Things break so easily. It seems that Dodge could have spent a little bit more money on higher quality parts that wouldn't break so quickly. The van is not very good on gas and it is not very quick or responsive, though I suppose that is to be expected from a vehicle of it's size. I don't think they should bill it as a sporty van when there's nothing sporty about it. Also, minivans should be easy to clean for parents because kids are messy. The stow and go, while a great concept, is poorly engineered. The cracks and crevices get filled with gunk and crumbs and it's impo... (more)

This van is perfect for driving around teenagers and groups of people. We can fit all the sports equipment in the van easily and quickly by using the automatic trunk open feature. The van has high quality coverings on the seats and I like how easy to clean the material is. This vehicle is practical for a busy family on the go. We can lift up the seats and use the stow-n-go for any extra duffel bags or equipment that we need to fit into the van. The extra storage space is invaluable. We can put the seat down completely into the floor if we need to pick up anything that is large in size. All of the seat rows lay flat for any needed room to carry items. This van is also fuel efficient and gets great gas mileage. I love how smooth it feels when I am driving on the highway, and the car has ... (more)
Story
I pick up my daughters friends for their sports functions and we all laugh at how much equipment and how many people can fit into the car comfortably.
Pros
My favorite features are the stow-n-go function, the steering wheel function buttons like radio station, volume, cruise control, etc., And the temperature front and rear separate controls.
Cons
There are no reading lights or light buttons for the passengers in the rear of the vehicle. Sometimes with the back seat lying flat and then popping it back up, the material in the rear of the car has to be pushed back under the trim.

I had wanted a Dodge Grand Caravan for about 10 years before we actually bought one. We happend to get one as a rental because our previous minivan had been totaled. I fell in love with the automatic dual sliding doors. Before my eldest daughter passed away, it was difficult to find a vehicle that I could get her in and out of easily because she was wheelchair-bound and I could only transfer her to the front seat in other vehicles, which didn't feel very safe since she was under 80 lbs. With the Caravan, I could easily place her in one of the captain seats in the second row, ON EITHER SIDE! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was about that! I also loved that the rear seats had their own air vents, my poor kids didn't have to sweat it out in the back seat during the Arizona su... (more)
Story
When we first got our van, my nephew and niece used to stay with us during the holidays (they were about 7 and 6 respectively). My brother called me one day after they had gone back home and told me about an assignment he turned in at school. The prompt was, "if you could have any car in the world, what would it be?" My brother thought it was hilarious that instead of saying a Mustang GT like ... (more)
Pros
I love that it's roomy, first of all. I LOVE the automatic dual sliding doors. I feel a lot safer being able to let my kids out of the van away from traffic if I need to. The stow and go seats are a dream compared to what we had before. I hated taking out the seats of our old minivan and they were really heavy, so my husband had to take them out for me. Now the seats stow themselves with just a few pulls and we have lots of room for big items. I also like the underseat storage compartments, they're huge! I also like that the back row can also be used as a seat to look out the hatch, instan... (more)
Cons
I do have to say, as much as I love our van, I was a little disappointed in how many repairs we've had to make. They weren't huge ones, but I've had a Toyota Corolla as well for the last 15 years and we haven't had to make as many repairs on that as we have for the Caravan, and the Caravan is only 8 years old. We had to have the radiator replaced because it started to overheat, then the thermostat when it was about 5 years old. The doors started glitching when the van was about 6 years old. The water pump went out this past summer. The driver's side door window stopped going up and down th... (more)
