I bought this vehicle because I have always liked them and always wanted one. I purchased it used with around 70k miles on it for $10,000. It has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. It's never left me stranded and only very few issues with it in the past 6 years of ownership. One issue was major, water pump, but other than that only maintenance items. I use it for work and work out of the roomy hatch of the vehicle. To this day I still drive it daily and the vehicle has 220k+ miles on it. If this particular vehicle was still being produced today I likely would not hesitate to buy another.
Story
It makes a great vehicle for drive-in movies
Pros
Ample room good gas mileage for a big car sporty wagon reliability
Cons
Has the smallest engine available for this particular vehicle, could use more power. The cloth seats stain very easily, even water stained them

This became my dream car as soon as Dodge introduced it. I purchased it 10 years after it was made, and it still drives like it is brand new. The car screams drive me just by looking at it. It's sleek, and when you hit the gas, the acceleration from the 5.7L V8 engine leaves almost all other cars in your rear view mirror. The amount of room inside along with the five doors allows you to take this car anywhere for any reason. Unlike most V8s, it isn't a true gas hog so it's great for trips, moving or just a quick stop to the grocery store. This is a very comfortable car that is always pleasing to drive and will have you turning your head back to take another glance at it once parked. You would never want to put the Dodge Magnum into the same category as other wagons. This is truly a mus... (more)
Story
I went on a first date right after I bought this car. We went to the beach to watch the sunset after dinner, and the wagon was perfect to sit in the back comfortably to see the view. Driving through the city with the sunroof open and buzzing through traffic put a smile on my dates face, and I think the car might have gotten more compliments than I did that night.
Pros
The 5.7L Hemi V8 is a beast. The handling of this car is exceptional as well as its braking ability. Going around curves feels like a thrill when you are able to punch the gas instead of riding your brake. Gas mileage for the R/T is also a plus with 23 mpg on the highway, you don't have to drain your wallet to fill up often. It's a big car since it is a wagon, but with 340 hp, you feel like you are sitting behind a midsize sedan. There is never any struggle for this car to perform, and it leaves you with a quiet, pleasing ride. The suspension allows for smooth handling that you would find ... (more)
Cons
If you live in an area where you would want to drive this car in the snow, definitely purchase the AWD model, as RWD is going to leave you spinning and sliding in snow and sometimes rain. The interior is nothing to write home about; it has the basic played-down Dodge interior. Dodge discontinued this car so finding one is sometimes a challenge. There were a few recalls for this car, but as long as they have all been addressed there aren't any problems to worry about. This car also doesn't have any audio controls on the steering wheel, which at times feels like a small inconvenience. Also, ... (more)

I think this is the best car that I have ever owned. It is full of all of the bells and whistles. I'm talking about the most comfortable plush seating and amazing detail in the surface of everything in the car. Through all my years of having and owning cars this one has been the one that has never given me any major issues other than the normal wear and tear that all cars go through. I have had no malfunctions or any of those annoying lights that pop up on your dashboard as a car gets old. If you want luxury, then this is the car that you want to be riding in. I don't have to worry about when is my car going to go back to the shop now. Great on gas, and I really get my miles worth in this sweet vehicle. I'm an overweight person who always has issues with finding a car that will accommo... (more)
Story
This car is really built to withstand a woman like me who hates to pump gas. I rode my car for 15 miles after the gas light came on, and it lasted every bit of the time that I needed. It was too late to just stop at an unknown place, so I kept going, and this car didn't let me down.
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle is the room and the feeling of being safe on the highways and on bumpy roads. It doesn't feel it is like a typical newer car, because it definitely has some weight to it.
Cons
I don't like the fact that I have to turn off the car in order to get in the trunk if the key is in the ignition. It really is quite an annoying; I wish I could get it fixed. Also, the size of the tires seems to be a little too big for the car and just looks a little weird to me.
