Overall, our 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan has worked out well for our family. The car has great performance, though with a V6 it can make get up and go a little difficult with a full load of passengers and luggage. We have had very few major repairs in the time that we have owned it so I would say that it is great as far as sustainability. The car travels well and is comfortable to ride in for long car trips. The interior has held up well to abuse from several children, though the stow and go floor covers have a lock at the hinge that breaks easily making it more difficult to tuck the captain's chairs away.
Story
We love taking our Dodge Grand Caravan to the drive in that is just a short drive from our house. We can leave the back gate open and put all the chairs down and make a large comfy bed for our three kids. When the movies done it takes just a couple minutes to put all the seats back in place and get us on the road again.
Pros
We like the captain chairs in the middle row as they allow for children or adults to ride comfortably. It is also great to have stow and go seating which allows us to put the two captain's chairs under the floorboards to open up more space or to fold the rear row into the cargo area. This feature works quickly and easily and makes for more leg room for the rear row or an open area to store bulky items. It has a great tire pressure gauge built into the tire to alert the driver whenever the tires are below acceptable air pressure levels which helps maintain a decent MPG rating.
Cons
The car is loaded with helpful features though it does lack some of the amenities of newer models, such as assisted opening for the doors or a luggage rack on the roof. The car did develop an issue that the dealership did not quite know how to tackle. Sometimes the key is retained in the ignition for no apparent reason after the car is turned off. This can be a frustrating problem when you are running late as you cannot remove the key or lock the car doors. The dealership repaired the problem but the fix only works for about a month or so before it started happening again. I wish th... (more)

We purchased this vehicle when I was seven months pregnant with our second child. Before this we had a small, old Chevy Cavalier. We knew that when we went to purchase a new car we needed something roomy, easy to drive, and could fit both a large or small driver (I am quite short and my husband is pretty tall). This vehicle definitely delivered. The longer we have it the more happy we are with our purchase. The stow away seats make loading car seats and children easy. It gives us extra room for purchases whether it's just groceries or a large item such as a big area rug or piece of furniture. The trunk isn't the biggest, but it is enough space to fit our stroller folded up along with some groceries. I found it easy to drive and an easy transition (I had never driven anything other then... Story
I have a lot of memories in this vehicle, we bought the car early December, so Christmas shopping for the family was awesome in this new car with all the space. We also bought ourselves a very large area rug this day which was only possible given the extra room. A month after this vehicle purchase, I went into labor. I also have the treasured memory of driving to the hospital in our new car an... (more)
Pros
Stow Away Seats, auto locks, spacious, and auto windows.
Cons
Lack of trunk space
