I have loved my car since the day I drove it off the lot. I waited almost 6 months after I decided to get a Dart for the dealer to get a Blue Streak Pearl coat in the 2.4L engine. It handles wonderfully in all road conditions. The car is very responsive to any changes I make from the steering wheel. The gearshift is leather and very easy to move back and forth as needed. The brake and gas pedals are calibrated well for easy braking and acceleration. There is a rather large blind spot created on both the driver and passenger sides where the windshield meets the side panel. The interior is black which makes for a very hot car in the summer. There is adequate trunk space for storage. I have put over 30,000 miles on mine in two years, and can't imagine driving something else.
Story
My friend and I took a road trip to Washington (state) from Colorado in it. One of the most comfortable road trips I have ever taken.
Pros
My favorite features are the slim/sporty body style (it looks a bit like a mini-Charger). It is very economical as far as gas mileage goes. I usually average about 29-31mpg, which is something that my dash shows me when I use the arrows to get to that feature. One of my other favorite features is the digital speedometer option in my dash. It is nice to see a large number of the exact MPH that I am going. I love the steering wheel control features for the radio. The back up camera is amazing. Mine includes colored lines from green to red that show where the sides of my car will be and how f... (more)
Cons
The seats do not have power movement in mine. I know that is a feature in some of the models, but it is not included in mine. There are some blind spots around both the passenger and driver sides of the windshield where it meets the side panel. My trunk lid is attached using two bars that move with the lid. There must be room in the trunk to ensure the bars do not hit or crush anything in there and also have the lid close properly. I would like to see an automatic mirror fold-in feature that some vehicles have, this would be helpful for people like me who parallel park on tight streets oft... (more)

The 2014 Dodge Dart is an excellent choice for people looking for a reasonably priced car with good gas mileage. But also provides something unique and different than your Prius or Fit. Yes it doesn't get as good gas mileage as either one of these cars mentioned, but I am averaging about 30-35 mpg. And I get something in return that the other cars do not offer. That return is engine performance and looks for the Dodge Dart. My 2.4 Liter motor has a healthy 180 HP and plenty of response to the throttle when you need it. I drove many other cars in my Dart's sales category when trying to decide on a new car and the Dodge Dart by far had the best performance and throttle response. You do have to get the 2.4 Liter in order to maximize your performance, though, when looking at the Dart. Last... (more)

Cons
You really have to build your Dodge Dart to get the car looking very good. The base model offers relatively nothing. There are so many trims on the Dart it was hard for me to narrow down what each package offers.
