2004 Dodge Caravan - My Dodge Caravan is a decent enough car.
This 2004 Dodge Caravan is the second minivan I have owned. It is about equivalent in quality to my former minivan, a Chevy Uplander. It is white in color and is a fairly basic model with few bells and whistles. It rides pretty well. Having purchased it new, I have owned it for about 3 and a half years, and it has around 39,000 miles, which is a bit less than average. It has been on a few long-distance trips and has proven itself to be a reliable and comfortable ride. The gas mileage is about average, I suppose. I like that the seats in the back can be folded down and stowed underneath to provide more floor and storage space. Another thing I like about this van is the automatic trunk button. which is very convenient when you are carrying and loading lots of groceries. The key fo... (more)
Story
I can't think of a specific story to tell but it has been a decent family car for us, and we will probably keep it for awhile. I think the most fun we've had is when we tool it to the local drive-in movie theater and pulled it into the spot backwards so the kids could hang out in the back with their friends and eat lots of junk food and watch the movies.
Pros
Fairly spacious, nice automatic truck feature, and decent gas mileage. Favorite features is the stain resistant interior.
Cons
Nothing really other than it is a fairly basic model without many upgrades.
2004 Dodge Caravan - Great car with great value
I never thought I would own a van but now I do. The 2004 Dodge Caravan is an amazing family vehicle with exceptional room for easy in and out access. The running performance is smooth and feels like you are floating on a cloud. Even going over railroad tracks feels like running on a flat road.
Story
One fun memory we had in this vehicle is taking all 4 of the kids to the beach with myself and boyfriend and still was able to take another friend with us. We loaded up the trunk with beach towels and gear and headed off.
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle are the electronic passenger doors, the adequate trunk space for hauling and storage, and the 3rd row allowing 7 people to travel at a time. Another favorite feature is the temperature and directional electronic guide. Another pro of this vehicle is that if you know you are getting low on gas but not sure how far you can trust to make it before stopping to fill up there is a feature that will tell you exactly how many miles you have left to utilize. It takes the immediate fear of running out of gas on the side of the road away. The sleek design of the e... (more)
Cons
The cons about this vehicle is that the slider doors easily come off their tracks and have to be unbolted and re-secured. Another con of this vehicle is that it only gives you about 18.3 Miles per gallon of gas. If you use this vehicle on a daily basis for everyday travels you will spend a lot of money filling up the tank on a regular basis.
