We bought our 2015 Dodge Journey SXT about two months ago and are absolutely in love with how much room this crossover has to offer! The seating capacity, trunk space and various storage compartments make this vehicle exceptional for road trips.
Story
We took our Dodge Journey for a trip back to our hometown (an 8 hour drive away,) and could not believe how comfortable we and our 3 dogs were for the entire trip. The amount of room and storage compartments in this vehicle make long trips a lot more enjoyable!
Pros
The Journey has 7 seats in total, which would make for a great vehicle to transport a large family in. However, we use ours for our various road trips with our dogs. When both back seats are put down, the space in the back is unbelievable! The trip computer is a huge display with lots of options (Compass reading, Satellite radio options, phone and text display, and some models have Navigation on there as well.) The are lots and lots of various storage compartments in the Journey. We have drink holders in the front doors as well as the center console area, and there are lift-up storage com... (more)
Cons
The engine is a bit loud - definitely very noticeable when the music is muted. The fuel efficiency leaves a lot to be desired!

2009 Dodge Journey - Sporty but tight

I've owed my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT for almost 2 years. It's a nice little daily driver with a ton of options like in-floor storage, regular outlets to charge my phones and devices, a dual AC system, and Sirius radio capability. It even has a drink cooler in the dash. It performs like a champ. Even with just over 100,000 miles, I haven't had to do much more maintenance then the normal oil change and recommended stuff. With it's 3.5L engine, it gets up a hill without a problem and even has a tow package which I haven't had to use yet. A great vehicle for someone looking for cross between a car and an SUV.
Story
One night, my family and I went star gazing and the children got an astronomy lesson through the sunroof. It was awesome and educational as well as memorable for the children.
Pros
My favorite features are the tow package, the sunroof, the in floor coolers, and other storage spaces throughout the vehicle.
Cons
The third row is tight unless you has children passengers.
