It's a great car. Tinted windows and spoiler give it a sporty appearance, and the stock rims look nice with the car. The interior is black, as well as black seats so dirt isn't super obvious. Everything inside is very basic looking, especially the radio, which is incredibly basic, but allows for CD's and an AUX cord to connect a phone. I like that the driver seat has electric adjustments, which makes it easier for me. I love that the backseats fold down for me to have extra room in the trunk. I was even able to fit a bike in there without removing one of the wheels! I dislike the area to change gears (from park to reverse to drive etc.) as it is faux-leather and lots of crumbs/dust/dirt get inside and make it difficult to clean. I also dislike the cup holders in front, they're low and ... (more)
Story
One winter we had black ice happen overnight in Chicago. On my way to work in the morning, I didn't realize there was ice on the road as I couldn't see it. I went to stop at a light and the car skidded and I did a complete 180. It was terrifying, and luckily there were no other cars around, but the car handled quite well which was great!
Pros
I like the outside of the car, the black interior, electric windows/seat adjustments and the ability to use an AUX cord to connect my phone. A big pro is also the back seats folding for more trunk room!
Cons
The radio is too basic, I dislike the gear changing part with the leather that causes dirt and crumbs to get in and difficult to get out, the cup holders are inconvenient, and the car doesn't agree with cold weather.

2006 Dodge Stratus - A very average but dependable con

This car has been a very average car that, after 11 years, has a few little things wrong with it. It does nothing absolutely well but does nothing terrible either. The car looks average with its generic blue paint. The features are very standard with just a plain radio (no Bluetooth, heated seats, or anything else above average). However, if you are looking for a beater car on a budget, this is very well could be your car.
Story
We drive our son to church camp two hours north every year. On our way there, we always have to stop and take a picture with a pink elephant holding a martini glass outside of a now shut down business.
Pros
Some of my favorite features about this car would include its overall dependability. This car has not once left me stranded. It has never been towed since I've owned it. The gas mileage is also quite excellent as I drive a solid hour in it every day and only have to fill up once a week. The seating, while looking worn these days, still feels good and the power adjustments are still working well. Also, the trunk is quite roomy and allows for plenty of groceries (or junk, or whatever to be stored in it. The seating is fabric, and the console is a plastic that still looks good with a bit of A... (more)
Cons
Some of my least favorite things about this vehicle are the fact that it just has no get up and go. Interstate driving can be a pain while having to pass people. This gets worse if you have to run the air conditioner. The locks also auto lock once you get up past 15 mph. I find this rather annoying. The stereo system, while getting the job done for most things, has really weak FM reception as well. My biggest gripe would be the lack of power this car has.
