Overall, for my first used vehicle, and first car in general, I have pretty good reviews for it. I am not big into fancy cars, but I would not buy something that looked stale or very aged, so this car was a good choice. The Acadia has a very easy, simple performance that gets you where you want to go, and it's not too bulky like a truck or small like other cars can be. I really liked the heated seating, ease of the air condition and heat, and the extra third row in the back. This third row could be flipped over, giving me a lot of space as I am a full-time college student who uses this car on campus, and traveling or moving around with my dorm supplies at the end of each semester really needed the extra room for storage or else I would not be able to able to fit it all. The car, as I s... (more)
Story
Me and all my guy friends stuffed the car to death to prepare for a Hamptons/Montauk beach trip. We each took up a whole seat and had to squish in. We are from the other end of the island, so we had to leave early to make a day of it. I was younger when this happened, and it would have been my longest trip to date at that point, and the first time I realized a car could feel “heavier.” I was ... (more)
Pros
There are a good number of pros to my Acadia, though this is not true for all of the same model, as the previous owner put in all the little extra nice features. Pro-wise, the overall look of the car is modern and progressive and has beautiful tanned, very well taken care of and comfortable leather seats (that can be heated!). There is a third row that can be folded down, leaving a ton of space, probably more than you would need, but always better to be safe the sorry. The front display, GPS system and touchscreen radio are very simple to use, do not bug-out and are great. There is a back-... (more)
Cons
There are a few cons for the car. The gas mileage is okay, so it is fine for a small commute, but if you are a heavy commuter, it may not be the best car for the longer drives. For being over half a decade old, the quality of drive in the car could be worse, but sometimes the car can be a little hard to start. In fact, most of the maintenance done to the car since my ownership was with the ignition. The brand can also be a little bit of a negative. I have found that the GMC dealerships are very overpriced and difficult to work with, so this car would be better if you know a reliable mechan... (more)

I absolutely love my GMC Acadia. It has a very smooth ride. It is very quiet and is fantastic for long road trips! It has a power lift gate that is very handy when trying to load groceries. It also has three rows of seating which is nice when taking multiple people in the car with me. The seats are comfortable and my Acadia came with a fold down DVD player.
Story
My family took the Acadia down to Florida from Michigan to go to Disney. It was a lot of hours in the car, but we made a lot of memories and had a good time.
Pros
I love that it came with OnStar. I also really like that it has the XM radio. It is so nice to listen to a radio station and not having to deal with static or losing my favorite station on a long road trip. I also love my DVD player in the car, and so does my three year old son. This was one of the features that made me buy my car. My family often goes on long trips and the DVD player has been a life saver!
Cons
The one thing that I really don't like is that it can be expensive to service. Even a simple headlight change is a big ordeal. Also, Acadia's are known to have problems with their transmission. I know this because a family member that is a mechanic told me this. Luckily I have not had any issues in this department.
