I cant say it enough, the GMC Envoy is the most dependable vehicle I've ever owned. It's always gotten me where I need to go, regardless of any factors that would otherwise hinder a vehicle's performance. I like how much room it has, not only for people but also for cargo. All over awesome vehicle!!
Story
I hadn't taken the console out yet for my mail route after purchasing it so when I delivered mail in my truck, I had to straddle the console and stick my head out of the sunroof so I could see where I was going! I prayed every day that it wouldn't rain up until I could take out that console. I sure got lucky!
Pros
There's one thing in my entire 36 years that I can truly say I can depend on and it's my Envoy! I have put so much wear and tear on that vehicle and what's worse, I'm awful at keeping up with the regular maintenance and other general up-keep and my Envoy STILL keeps going. I originally bought it for the reliability and dependence that GMC vehicles have, I'm a rural route carrier for the Post Office so I drive at least 75 miles a day delivering mail out in the country on dirt roads in all kinds of weather conditions and I become more and more impressed with each passing day. The vehicle was very smooth riding and had all the amenities of a luxury SUV. It was reasonably priced yet stylish and economically efficient. I felt that the vehicle was safe and assembled with quality. The interior gauges can be a bit confusing if you do not have a manual or experience with the model. The vehicle is very spacious and provides plenty of room to fit five comfortably of all sizes.
Story
We take this vehicle to most West Virginia University football game for tailgating!
Pros
I appreciated all the luxury assets such as seat heaters, sun and moon roof, wood grain interior, and fold-down back seats. The vehicle received fair fuel mileage and was feasible for repairs. I liked the leather interior, and the vehicle warmed up fairly quickly in the winter. I appreciated the cup holders and heat, plus A/C controls in the back seat.
Cons
I had to replace the transmission which happens, but it was a bit earlier than expected. The A/C takes a little while to get cool, and the interior controls, primarily the trip meter, can be a bit confusing. The cruise control settings can also take some getting used to.
