I have a fully loaded GMC Envoy. It is the six-cylinder, 4WD version. After ten years, the leather is still holding up well, and it is a very comfortable ride. Outside of routine maintenance, I have not had many issues with the car. It has over 150,000 miles on it, and it's going strong. It moved from Illinois to Utah with me and handles the mountains, mud, rocks, and snow like a champ. It has a lot of interior space as well as a tow hitch and roof rack. I use a ski rack in the winter, and it has taken me skiing over 100 days a season the last four years in deep snow and up the canyons of the Wasatch front. I have never had an issue with its towing capabilities. The interior has held up extraordinarily well too. I have the original floor mats and am finally, after all this time, wearin... (more)
Story
I will never forget the very first time I road tripped to Canyonlands in Central Utah and drove on the centennial trail. It made it over all the rocks and mud that came my way. I then camped under the stars and drove out the next morning. It was an incredible experience, and my car made it work.
Pros
The 4WD performs very well in all conditions, and the towing capabilities are superb. The interior is very spacious and comfortable. It is a great road trip and camping vehicle. It will take you anywhere you could want to go.
Cons
The gas mileage is not the best. It averages about 16 mpg overall. You can get up to about 21 mpg on the highway if it's flat. It has a 22-gallon tank, so it's pretty expensive to fill up. New tires are very expensive, because they are low profile and large.

I have put over 108,000 miles on this vehicle and bought it brand new. The ride is quite comfortable with very cushy seats. It does have what I would consider to be above average road noise. The speakers have gone out and needed to be replaced. I have also replaced both hub bearings and rear shocks. One of the features of this vehicle that I greatly appreciate is being able to easily turn off the daytime running lights. Another feature that I appreciate is that the spare tire is full size instead of a doughnut. Passengers in the rear seat also like having control over heat and A/C without the driver needing to change any settings. At around 65,000 the fuel gauge quit working and the entire fuel pump had to be replaced. The fuel economy is not great, it currently averages about 17 miles... (more)
Story
I have never had to worry about making it out of my neighborhood (one way in and only one way out up a steep hill) in the winter. The 4 wheel drive along with traction control pretty much ensures I can make it anywhere I want to in the winter regardless of when the plows clear the roads.
Pros
Price Towing capacity
Cons
Speakers failing Fuel gauge malfunctioning
