The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is one of the best cars I've ever owned. I was looking for a sports car, or something like it, but I know nothing about sports cars. After a few test drives, I had my heart set on a Scion FR-S. This was the car for me, affordable, fast, and fun to drive. But on a whim, someone suggested I try the Genesis Coupe first, and I did. At first, I wasn't sold. It felt great, but I already had my mind made up that I wanted the Scion. So I went over to Toyota and tried the Scion one final time, ready to buy. And it felt small. And clunky. Not well put together at all. I'd never thought this way about it before, and I realized then that I was comparing it to the Genesis Coupe. So I went home to think, and all I could think about was how fun the Genesis Coupe was to drive... (more)
Story
I took this car on my honey moon. We drove up and down the coast and my wife and I had a blast listening to Genni's engine get going! If you're going to drive next to an ocean, make sure you have a sports car. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is the car for this!
Pros
The best pro I can give is that this car is fun to drive. I've never actually experienced that in a car before. I get up excited to drive it. Aside from that, the price was reasonable, and Hyundai has been super easy to work with. Every day I get a kick out of driving my Genni, and am incredibly happy with my purchase. Also she's really spacious. With the seat folded down, I'm able to get almost anything in the truck, even using my little sports car to help me move! Not everything went in of course, not furniture, but boxes and bags were no problem. Much more utilitarian than I thought s... (more)
Cons
The worst part about Genni is the two doors. It's perfect as a sports car, but when you have to get something in the back seat, most notably a car seat, you're going to be contorting. With a family, this can't be our daily driver. For a guy (or girl) on a commute, especially one that's far with lots of open straights, it's perfect, but you'll want a second car, or something with four doors, if you're going to really need the back seat often.

When I was looking to buy a new car, I looked at all the American ars - Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger. I was looking for a muscle car that would make me feel young again. I found the Genesis by accident and once I took it for a drive I was hooked. It easily will match any 6 cyl. car in its class. The 4cyl. 2.0L Turbo is amazing. For the price, it has amazing performance. It also has a built-in navigation system which is really top notch and can be upgraded every couple of years. The sound system is nice and the voice operated features work well. Overall, hard to beat for the price.
Story
I was cruising around the city and the car got a lot of attention from this group of teenagers while I was parking it. (I'm 45 so I'm not very close to their age, so seeing that they were into something of mine was kinda nice for me.) They asked if they could take pictures of the car, sit in it, and also asked for the car brand, name, etc. Let's just say that they were pretty shocked when I to... (more)
Pros
It looks great, and runs great. It's an affordable car that will catch people's eyes. Fuel efficient. Navigation.
Cons
I live in Chicago, so the winter is pretty bad. This car is obviously not made for a ton of snow. So if you live in an area that has harsh winters, be careful. Also, the space in the trunk is pretty small.
