I have a black 2016 Genesis Coupe R-Spec. The car is a sportier version of the stock model. In this sport package several upgrades include a tuned suspension, upgraded disc brakes, and a more powerful engine. The suspension gives the car a harsh feel that would be expected of a vehicle that is made for performance instead of riding comfort. The suspension being stiff does allow for excellent handling of the car which allows it to hold turns extremely well. The large Brembo brakes allow for amazing stopping power of the car that does not fade once the brakes have been heated up from numerous hard braking patterns. The sound of the powerful engine reminds you that you are driving a sports car that has been made to be heard. All of these traits combined make me feel as if this was the car... (more)
Story
I enjoyed taking my Fiancee out for an evening drive for the first time in the car with the windows down on the smooth back roads in the spring time.
Pros
The highlights of the vehicle that stand out to me relate to the performance. For the price of the car, the essential features have been covered which allow it to compete with vehicles that cost approximately $10,000 more. My favorite feature of the car is that the seats are extremely tight fitting on my model. When I take a turn, I do not shift around at all in the seat due to the large side bolsters.
Cons
The only real negative thing about this car is that the ride can be rough when taking the car on a long distance drive. This is directly related to the car being performance oriented and not designed for comfort. Based off of this con, it would not change my opinion about purchasing the car again.

The best bang for the buck if anyone is looking for a coupe with performance. This is the only car that you can purchase for under $30,000 and contains the following features (plus more): 348 hp, leather seats, sunroof, Brembo brakes, touchscreen with navigation, spoiler, and keyless entry. The reliability of the car is amazing and Hyundai has excellent customer service. It is a very affordable bachelor car. If you do have a family or need to drive around more than one person, I would suggest purchasing another car. It is not very fuel efficient, so it is not the best car for commuting, especially long distances.
Story
Near my parent's house, there is a street that has very minimal curves and traffic lights. During the nighttime, there are very few cars on the road. I would bring my car to a complete stop and then look for any passing cars. If there are none, I would use the shift pedals to bring the gear as close to redline as possible and time the 0-60.
Pros
Great acceleration and horse power. I would strongly recommend putting weights in the trunk and turning off traction control to fully utilize the benefits of the car. Aesthetically pleasing interior and exterior. I love the look of the gauges that show the torque and fuel consumption. The color of the interior lights look sleek and modern.
Cons
The trunk space is extremely limited. The trunk is not very high, so if you have items or luggage that are long in length and width, then you may not be able to put it inside the trunk. Fuel economy is not great, so your wallet will suffer. There isn't a lot of space for passengers sitting in the back. This car is best suited as a two-seater. Since it is a rear-wheel driver, performance in snow and rain is subpar. The navigation system is poor. It does not provide the best traffic
