I fell in love with this car the moment I saw it and knew it had to be mine. I can say I am happy that it lives up to my expectations, as I had originally just likes the style and wasn't too focused on anything else. This car runs like a champ. She is smooth and fast and sleek, so it is easy to maneuver in and out through traffic safely. I can fit into spaces that a lot of other cars are unable to fit in. I drive on the expressway a lot in Chicago, and if you've ever been here, you know there is a lot of construction and uneven roads. My car handles this as well as possible, and I never feel like I am on a roller coaster even when going over crummy roads. The body of the vehicle is more than I could have asked for. I remember a friend of mine mentioning that the parts were probably gen... (more)
Story
I have a very tall and large friend who needed a ride to his car one night after we were out. He is about 6'7" and maybe 330 pounds. We had to push the passenger seat alllll the way back as far as it would go and he still couldn't fit in the car. There was no way he was getting in the backseat, but even in the front, his body would not fit. So we opened up the sunroof and he had to stick his h... (more)
Pros
I love how safe I feel in this little car. Knowing that the body is strong, makes me feel at ease. The exterior is stylish and beautiful to look at. 13 years old and no signs of rust. The seating is comfortable and has a lumbar support you can use for your lower back, which helps me greatly. I haven't needed to service the car very much other than regular checkups.
Cons
There is a blind spot, so I always make sure I check and double check and triple check before I merge or make a turn. There is not a lot of room for passengers because the car is small. The back seat is pretty cramped if you have two adults back there.

I have owned my car since I purchased it new. I have been very happy with it. When we purchased it, our children were young and we were using it as the family car. The engine has a good amount of torque, so it is easy to merge onto the highway. The cloth interior is easy to clean. I have never had a major engine problem. The only things we have had to replace in the past 12 years have been small parts. The car has a very nice sleek design. The paint work has held up exceptionally well.
Story
I went to IKEA with my husband, and we selected a picture for our home. Inside the store, the picture did not look that large. As it turned out, it was about 3x5 feet or maybe even larger. When we got out to the car, my husband said no way would it fit. We opened up the hatch, took the tray off, tipped the picture on an angle, and it fit right in there up against the back seats.
Pros
It gets better than expected MPG compared to what was listed on the fact sheet when we bought it, which was a wonderful surprise. It has a decent audio system that I enjoy listening to. It also had all the obvious automatic features like power windows and A/C. It has been very reliable. We have had minimal engine or transmission problems. You can put an amazing amount of things in the hatchback, especially if you remove the tray that covers it. The car has a nice zippy feel when you are moving through traffic. It always has enough power to get you merged onto the highway.
Cons
It is difficult to see out the back window when you are trying to back up, and there are large posts that support the roof that can give you a blind spot when you are trying to do a head check. It is difficult to get into the back seat. I would say it is designed for people under 5'10". There has always been a rattling fan noise in the engine at idle, but it never affected the performance.
