I purchased my car when I was living out west. I moved out east and quickly realized that the car is more suitable for summer weather rather than winter weather. What I mean is this: sometimes, on cold, snowy mornings, when I start up my car and start driving to work, within the first ten minutes or so, if the car is stopped at a light, the RPMs will start to decrease to a point where it almost turns off the engine. It does not happen during warmer months, and it never happened when I lived in Arizona and California. One other thing why I say this is favorable in warm weather is because my current driveway is very slanted. So, when it snows, if it is not at the top of the driveway, it is not getting out. We usually need to push it out or have a tow to get it out. So, could it be more powerful? Yes. Other than that, it is a good car. Haven’t had any major issues with it, and I’ve had it since 2010. It was the first car I ever purchased, so I was looking for something that was not too expensive and looked nice. For my next car, I might step up in quality or go to a different brand, but that is a ways off because I don’t even have 75,000 miles on the car yet.

Great car that gets me to where I need to go
I bought my Mitsubishi Lancer back in 2010. The car is very reliable as I have rarely had any problems with it since the time I purchased it. I originally leased a 2007 Lancer, and the dealership brought me in to see if I’d be interested in trading in the 2007 for the 2010 (as an early release form the lease). I never purchased a vehicle before, so this was my first big purchase. I was living in Arizona at the time of purchase. I moved to San Diego two years into my ownership of the vehicle, and then after two years in San Diego, I moved back to New York. This car was able to handle all of this traveling and deal with the two extreme temperatures, as New York is quite cold in the winter time, and Arizona is quite hot all the time. San Diego is nice all year round, so the car handles well. I have been noticing recently, that it does not accelerate as rapidly as I would like it to, but this is a minor problem, as I don’t need rapid acceleration like that often. I also notice that in the winter, it does have some performance issues, like the car won’t start unless I shut the hood. This happened my first winter back, two years ago, but last winter this was not an issue. Overall, I like my vehicle, as it is not high maintenance and is quite reliable. It looks nice too, kind of like a BMW (almost) as mine is a silver model. I also like that it was not too expensive, so that’s a plus. I do wish it did get better fuel economy, but it still only needs a fill up every week and a half so not really an issue.
