2008 Nissan Versa OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Providence, Rhode Island
Best starter car.
This was my first vehicle as a high school student, and its such a great car I'm passing it on to another family member. Overall it's spacious enough. I got the hatchback which is great if you have a dog and or take small trips. This car has been all up and down the east coast with me and my friends. Many road trips in all sorts of climates, from mountains to valleys, beaches, farmlands, dirt roads, you name it. This car has been everywhere. It gets used a lot by the family as a great gas saver & all around errand car as well. With regular maintenance and mostly highway miles due to so many road trips its never ever had an issue or broken down. Not once. I love how fast and zippy it is, it'll get you where you want to go for sure. I think this car would make an excellent car for a young person who's just starting out, the price point is fantastic, and it doesn't feel cramped you can have 4 adults in it comfortably. It's clearly more of a city vehicle but it holds its own if you have an adventurous side as well.

I am very satisfied with this car
I bought this car in 2010 as a used fleet vehicle. I needed to commute to work within the city traffic, and this car is great with mileage. I was also considering moving and wanted a car that has additional space to carry few things. This is why I selected the hatchback model. Nissan is a reputable car company, and I have always heard good reviewers from other Nissan owners. I have been regularly driving this car for eight years with no problems. It is easy to maintain, never had any problems with the engine, or any internal parts. Most passengers that ride this car first time with me appear to be surprised how spacious the car is. This model does not come with advanced technology, but I never had any problems with radio transmission. The seats are comfortable, A/C works fine, never had to fix anything major. In eight years, I had changed the battery twice and the tires once. I like the size of the car as it is easy to maneuver a smaller car around, especially in city areas and busy parking lots.

2008 Nissan Versa a lot for a little.
The 2008 Nissan Versa hatchback will not ever be mistaken for a great-looking car. I never thought it was an ugly vehicle, but a lot of people did. What the Versa did have was plenty of power in it's 1.8 liter four-cylinder motor and six-speed manual transmission. The only downside to the smaller engine is that even with the six-speed transmission at interstate speeds, the engine revved a lot higher then I like, but it never seemed to bother the Versa or the MPGs that much. On average, the Versa got around 30-33 MPG. Another high point to the Versa is the interior was surprisingly roomy at 6ft. I could sit in the back behind the driver seat with it set to where I would have it at to drive and my knees did not touch the back of the seat. This car will seat four adults easy with room for a child in the back, plus plenty of storage in the hatchback. The rear seats also lay down for more storage when needed. The interior itself isn't anything special. It did have a six-disc cd player, and the audio sounds really good. The interior was really quiet also not a lot of outside noise made it into the cabin. For an entry-level car, this car is great and at a great price. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a dependable small car with great MPG and plenty of room for most anything you will need.
