The Nissan for you!
If you are looking for a nice car, especially if you are a first time driver, then this is the car for you! I've had this car since I first started learning how to drive and it's been great. The material the seats are made of make it easy to adjust to the temperature outside, especially if it gets really hot. I drove from Orlando to Miami over 50 times without a problem. Never did I have car trouble, and it was super efficient. I would put in 20 bucks and I had gas to spare. The car runs smoothly and very quiet. It has 4 cylinders, which explains why it's so efficient in gas. It can comfortably fit a family a four. It's one of those spacious small cars. The trunk is surprisingly big for it being such a small car, I can actually fit more things in my car than I can in my mom's SUV. This car has never given me any mechanical problems and it's already at 100,000 miles. Honestly, it's a reliable car that you can take anywhere.

Budget doesn't have to be this bad.
When shopping for a car for my girlfriend, we decided it would need to be a no-frills affair. Working A/C, four doors, enough room to haul things around, and an automatic transmission. After reviewing our options, we settled on the Nissan Versa hatchback. We bought it certified pre-owned, and for the most part, the condition was good (minus the A/C adjustment knobs, which had a weird pattern on them from someone placing stickers on). After nearly four years of ownership, material quality has degraded massively. The interior paneling and seats are marred at the slightest wrong look, and the clunk of the door panels closing gets more and more tinny as time passes. Exterior quality is the same. There is no body protection whatsoever, so any minor incident will result in your car baring that damage unless fixed or replaced. The A/C compressor has leaked twice causing us thousands of dollars in repair, with the common observation being that the leaks were unrelated. Google searches confirm this is a common problem in Nissan vehicles. Overall, I would not purchase a Nissan again unless it was a more premium trim level and newer model. Never a Versa, ever again.

Positively average Nissan Versa SV
The Nissan Versa SV is a reliable vehicle for people who don't mind being unstylish and unimpressive. It will get you where you need to go safely and cheaply, and it is unlikely to disappoint you in any way. It's a bit smoother than you might expect at this price point. It also looks about the same whether it's dirty or clean. It's easy on gas and requires little upkeep. You never have to worry about being targeted, but you also might struggle to find it in a crowded lot. You're going to look like every other car on the road. You can count on this car to do its job and go about your business. You will fly under the radar. A non-enthusiast's dream. This car will serve all your budget needs as long as your family size is small enough. Plenty of space for passengers. Plenty of space in the trunk. Low profile design. Comfortable seats. Great view with few blind spots. Weak audio is a downside. Also the problem with finding it is serious. This car looks like every other car. Overall a great choice on a budget if your main goal is getting from point A to point B with little fuss. A warm recommendation to anyone looking for a low-key five seater with no bells and whistles.
