The vehicle is an excellent quality vehicle that isn't very old. I got mine with 62,000 miles on it, and it still drives smoothly. I appreciate the way the steering wheel handles, and it has great gas mileage. It was also a nice transition from my 2011 Kia Soul, allowing me to bring my USB drive over so I can listen to my own music that I have downloaded. As someone who likes to travel, especially travelling out of state in my car, having the right soundtrack can make all the difference. Relying on the radio can be a hassle, though if I got Sirius satellite radio, I could always use them instead.
Story
When I first got in the vehicle to test drive it, the salesperson got in the backseat since my wife was in the car too. He kept leaning forward and speaking to us about the car and seemed like an excited child due to his unfamiliarity with the vehicle itself. Me and my wife thought it was amusing, and we joked that we had to snatch the car before he bought it himself.
Pros
The best thing about this vehicle is definitely the gas mileage. When I am driving through town, I get about 29 or 30 miles per gallon. Considering how my town is fairly populated, with about 50,000 people, traffic can be an issue, so having good mileage is important. I also appreciate that it is a very low maintenance vehicle. It is recommended, according to the owners guide, that you get an oil change every four months. That is much better than my Kia soul, which required three month oil changes.
Cons
As someone who lives in an area of sporadic weather, it can be annoying getting caught in the rain. My Versa is a downgrade in this department, because it doesn't have a back windshield wiper. This can be annoying, especially when the other drivers on the road won't keep their lights on to let you know they're behind you.

The Nissan Versa is not an exciting vehicle, but where it lacks in excitement, it makes up for in reliability. I have racked up 30,000 miles in the first couple years with the vast majority on bumpy country roads in the winter, and I have not had any major issues with the vehicle - probably the biggest one was some of the windshield liner coming detached. It gets good fuel economy, and for its price, it is relatively comfortable with a fairly large trunk. It handles well in all weather conditions despite being two-wheel drive with (now) old tires.
Story
One memorable story is when I went to pick a friend up at his house in the middle of the winter, and his long, hilly driveway was covered in ice. I made it up alright without snow tires, but on the way back down, I skidded into a snow bank. We had to push it to get it back on course, but then it drove fine!
Pros
The best thing about the Nissan Versa is its reliability and how well it handles on the road. It seems to be built well as the interior still feels fairly new after 30,000 miles and a lot of wear, and I have not had any mechanical issues with the car whatsoever. It is low drama and reliable, which absolutely makes up for any lack of flashiness. In addition, the back-up camera and the touchscreen radio/Bluetooth capabilities make life more enjoyable while driving it!
Cons
I'm not too proud driving a foreign-made, relatively unattractive and obviously lower-budget vehicle, but I don't let it bother me too much.
