Toledo, OH Driving Tips
I would have to say to always be on alert because other drivers don't pay attention sometimes and you have to be prepared to stop at any point in time so follow the rule of one car length between you and the car in front of you, as well as watching out for pedestrians because they don't follow the laws of walking across the roads either.
Toledo, OH Buying Tips
Go online a look up what type of vehicle you want and see what the average price is going for so you can get the best deal. Do Not just automatically pay the sticker price, try to negotiate with the sales person and if you have a trade-in that is best but do your homework and search the Kelly Blue Book value first so you know your getting the optimum trade-in value. The Central Avenue strip has the best variety of auto dealerships when thinking about looking for a vehicle. Don't purchase the first vehicle you like because you might find the same one on a different lot and it will give you negotiation power.

My son was 12 years old and we were going to his first Neurologist appointment at the Toledo Clinic. I wasn't to familiar where the clinic was so I googled directions to the clinic. There was a lot of construction going on so some of the roads we not accessible, which made it quite an adventure for me and my son. He was very nervous about meeting a new doctor so he was nervous when I would say "Oh no" that road is closed. We ended up getting lost but it was a good thing because we found his favorite restaurant! So I told him that if he was good and honest about his epileptic seizures to the Dr. I would take him there for lunch. It ended up being a great visit got the right medications for his seizures and we had Rudy's hot dogs and fries for lunch!

Reynolds Road.. I like driving Reynolds Rd. because there are a lot of varieties of shops, restaurants and strip malls. I can get a great variety of my shopping needs done on one road plus there are some car dealerships that I can go browsing at for my "dream" car when I can afford it. Also, during Christmas season there are a variety of lots to buy live Christmas trees! The kids loved going and looking for just the right one and of course most of the time we would end up going to the first lot we saw, it was a lot of fun because we would sing Christmas carols in the car and of course had to stop for hot chocolate to make the experience even better!

Slow down. There is always lots of construction. Let other vehicles enter the highway as needed, since our on-ramps are often short.

Central Avenue Strip has almost every car dealership you would need on this strip of road. Great area to check out multiple brands of cars in such a short distance.

Love driving along the river and seeing the views. I will often see wildlife such as deer, raccoons, and the occasional bald eagle. Cargo ships come in and out to pick up grain. Once, while waiting at a bridge for a cargo ship to go through, it was such a beautiful day that everyone got out of their cars and lined the sides of the bridge to wave at the ship and the workers. Lots of people took pictures.
Favorite road
Route 280 - going over the Glass City Sky Bridge. The view from the top of the bridge is amazing. The bridge is lit with different colors at night often related to holidays or the season. There is a bald eagle that can be seen in the distance. Often you can see one or two eagles sitting in a tree - just a black spot with a white head. When the wind blows, you feel your car rock back and forth as you go over the bridge.
