Overall, this has been a good car. We do have a family of four so it's a little small when we all travel in it together. But, usually when we do that, we take my wife's SUV. I mostly use this car for traveling to and from work. It gets great gas mileage which is the main reason I purchased it. The performance is okay when not in Eco mode (which is designed make the gas mileage even better). The design of the car suits me just fine, but my wife isn't crazy about it. In fact, she's not even crazy about driving it because of the way it looks. The reliability has been great.
Story
It's such a quiet car when it's not moving that people have been shocked when it began moving because they thought it was parked.
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle is that I love it's reliability, and it's its fuel economy.
Cons
The performance and the styling.

The economical nature of this car is the best feature. When we first purchased it in 2011, we were getting 50 mpg. Today we average around 46 mpg. I love the high tech features on the display panel that indicate your gas mileage/fuel efficiency in five minute increments of drive time. The display panel also allows the driver to change temperature/air conditioning and audio. The backup camera is a huge plus with young children around. I have no complaints about the functionality of all that. The styling of the body was a little futuristic at first, but I soon became accustomed to it. It could definitely be considered sleek. The build quality is fine, but some improvements could be made to improve the interior quality. Specifically the door panels, seat upholstery, and center console cou... (more)
Story
Last summer we took our toddler to Tybee Island just for a long day trip. Of course, being a wet GA summer, we ran into thunderstorms. We arrived in the Savannah area to sunshine, but of course the rain caught up with us while at the beach. The wind was blasting; the rain was pelting us. We had to run with all of our soaking wet beach gear and toddler back to the car in multiple trips. I will ... (more)
Pros
The best things about the Prius are the economical nature of the mpg rating, the ease of driving it, and the futuristic feel. It has adequate pickup and yet still allows you to be environmentally and wallet friendly. It is fun and easy to drive, and you may feel like you're gaming at first.
Cons
The negatives include the small size of the hatchback when considering a family and its stowables and the issue with the gas tank indicator. The hatchback looks nice and roomy but does not compare to a family van's interior or an SUV's capacities to haul. The gas tank may be difficult to fill with the problem associated with the gas sensor.
