The 2011 Prius is an excellent family car.
The 2011 Prius is a versatile little car. Offering four doors it accommodates a family of four exceptionally well. There is room for a fifth member but the back seat gets cramped at that point. The biggest draw is its exceptional gas mileage. On average, I am able to pull off between 43 to 48 mpg. It offers all four driving modes in total to operate in; Normal, Electric, Eco, and Performance. The performance mode adds a significant amount of boost and is excellent for accelerating up to highway speeds or passing. I love how much cargo space the vehicle musters in what seems to be a tiny car. I was able to fit all of the lumber for a dining room table will the largest spans running 7.5 feet. The rear seat folded down nicely to accommodate this. Much of the vehicle's information controls and audio controls are located right on the steering wheel and allow for quick access. The dash console is extremely well laid out and provides a digital speed indicator (which I love). The seats are heated which comes in handy in the colder months of the Pacific Northwest.

It's a great little car.
Above I wrote that I paid cash for my car, but that was only because there was no option to say that the car was given to me, as it was. My family loves the Prius line of cars and, when my last car (a Saturn) developed problems which would cost more to repair than to replace, my brother bought a much wished-for new Prius and gifted me his old one. Now a member of the family Prius pack, I am a convert and am planning for my next car (whenever that will be) to be a Prius.

The fuel miser
The Prius is a car that people often have an opinion, which can either be one that they love or one that they hate. It is a car that doesn't have the most elegant design, yet it is very functional and versatile. In this day and age of cars moving away from fossil fuels, this is a car that is a hybrid. While electric vehicles are the next in the evolutionary scale of cars, the Prius is still a wonderful car. When gas prices rise, the car helps with your budget as it is a hybrid and can help offset rising costs. In terms of the cars performance, don't look for fast hard acceleration as the car is not meant for speed. Rather it is a car that is meant to get you to places. If you have the mindset of driving within the speed limit and gently accelerating, the car will help you achieve your goal of being a fuel miser. The car is meant to be driven with fuel economy in mind and doing your part to save on fossil fuels and money for your pocketbook. The interior of the car is roomy and comfortable. You can definitely carry groceries in the back of the hatchback. With the fold-down seats, you can also load up the car with such things as furniture. The stereo is pretty decent with JBL speakers. The air conditioning works well on those hot days. Also, most importantly, it is a comfortable car for the driver and passengers; I would highly recommend this car!
