Love the gas mileage! We travel a ton and this car has really saved us money. The only major things we have done in 70,000 miles is change the tires, change the oil, and flush the fuel injector. Owning this car has been a breeze. We get a lot of flack for owning a Prius, but I don't really care. I'd drive this car to the other side of the country and back. It has really been a joy to drive this car. The backup camera adds a lot to experience, auto dimming lights, the heated seats and Bluetooth. It's also fun to try and out do your last MPG on the display panel each time you fill up.

The 2011 Prius is a versatile little car. Offering four doors it accommodates a family of four exceptionally well. There is room for a fifth member but the back seat gets cramped at that point. The biggest draw is its exceptional gas mileage. On average, I am able to pull off between 43 to 48 mpg. It offers all four driving modes in total to operate in; Normal, Electric, Eco, and Performance. The performance mode adds a significant amount of boost and is excellent for accelerating up to highway speeds or passing. I love how much cargo space the vehicle musters in what seems to be a tiny car. I was able to fit all of the lumber for a dining room table will the largest spans running 7.5 feet. The rear seat folded down nicely to accommodate this. Much of the vehicle's information controls... (more)

I recently took my family camping in this car. It fit all of our supplies, a 50 pound dog, large tent, food, firewood, clothes, dishes, toys, ice chest, four sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, chargers, and misc. gear. I was extremely impressed with how well it handled fully loaded. There was no noticeable change to the gas mileage during the drive. Further, it provided a source of electricity ... (more)
Pros
As a DIYer, I find this vehicle to be extremely easy to work on. Simple maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid flushes, and brake jobs are a breeze. There was a lot of thought put into providing sufficient access to areas necessary for working on the car. Hands down, the gas mileage of the car blows me away. My other vehicle chews up 18 mpg and, for that reason, I find myself leaving it at home in favor of the Prius frequently. It truly is amazing how spacious this car is for how small it appears on the outside.
Cons
There are two issues that jump out at me when I think about this vehicle. The low-beam headlights are less optimal than I would like. The high-beams are very nice. I've changed out the bulbs to better quality ones but haven't noticed much improvement. They get the job done though. The other issue is the TPM sensors. This warning indicator is frequently lit on the dash and when checking the tires, I find them to be properly inflated. I've had the sensors changed out but the issue continues. It may just be an issue with my vehicle though. Aside from those two main issues, I would just point ... (more)
