2010 Toyota Prius - Excellent Handling and Fuel Economy
I absolutely love my Prius. When I first test drove the vehicle, I was stunned by how quiet the vehicle ran at idle. The gas motor goes completely silent and the car runs off the hybrid engine. This is one way that you get tremendous fuel economy from the car. When you're stuck in traffic, running off the hybrid will save you tons in gas. The handling is wonderful and responsive, and while I have only had the vehicle for five months, still no problems. Runs like it's brand new! The ride is also extremely smooth, which is a big help considering the "wonderful" roads in Michigan.
Story
Leaving the car running because it makes no noise when idling. I was in for a rude surprise when I came back from dinner.
Pros
Again, the fuel economy is ultimately what drove me to the Prius. I consider myself to be environmentally conscious, but I'm also conscious of the cost of fuel. While gas prices are lower than normal, I know that these things go up and down. Today, cheaper gas, in ten years--my Prius still should be running, and I should be saving money still getting 50+ miles to the gallon!
Cons
There's not a whole lot of get up and go with the Prius, but that's OK. The one problem from coming from a gas engine vehicle to the Prius, was that one time I left the darn thing running while I went to dinner. I didn't hear a difference!
2010 Toyota Prius - I love this car!
I love my Prius! I get great gas mileage. I usually get between 40 and 45 miles per gallon depending on the time of year. I have to do a lot of shipping for my job, so I love that the back seats fold down to give me extra room when I need it. I opted to get the windows tinted at the dealership, and I know I paid more then I could have if I shopped around, but it was totally worth it. My family always takes this car when we need to go on a long drive. I love the keyless entry and ignition. It's almost a bother now to need to dig my keys out for something. And it has blue tooth! I don't have to ware one of those ear pieces.
Story
I love taking it to the beach. There's so much room in the back for my beach stuff. Or, if my family goes to an outdoor event, we open up the back and lay down the back seats and we have shade.
Pros
Gas mileage. Large storage capacity. Blue tooth
Cons
Light tan interior that shows all stains and marks.
