Saving a fortune in gas!
I have had this vehicle for just over a year now, and am going in for my 25,000 mile service tomorrow. Yes, that's a lot of miles. I think that 12,000 is a "normal" amount of miles per year. I got it for my commute to work (45 minutes each way, five days a week), because my only other vehicle is a 2500 truck, and that wasn't going to work gas-mileage-wise. Now, the Prius says "54 mpg" on the window sticker, but I routinely get 65-70 mpg on my commute to work (25 miles). It took me a bit to learn how to get the best mileage (i.e. over what the sticker says), but even so, at 25,000 miles, I'm at 59.5 mpg lifetime. So, still better than the sticker says. When does that ever happen?
