2005 Chrysler Town and Country - It's a minivan the way minivans should be

This is a minivan the way all minivans should be. All the passenger seats in the second and third rows fold down easily into the floor. There is no hassle with removing seats, struggling to get them into position or making sure they are secure. To fold the seats all you need to do is pull one or two straps or levers and the seats fold effortlessly into the floor. With all the second and third row seats folded down there is enough room that the minivan can act as a small pick up truck. I have moved couches, mattresses and many other large objects in the minivan. It is also very easy to put child seats into place and secure them. It is also convenient to have both sliding doors and the rear door be power doors. That way I can tell my older kids to close their door while I am getting the ... (more)
Story
We drove to a nearby national forest many times in our minivan and it was always an enjoyable experience and the kids loved the drive.
Pros
The power sliding side doors and power rear door.
Cons
Low gas mileage.

2005 Chrysler Town and Country - Decent van for a good price

This van has performed OK for us. We have had to replace many components like transmission, alternator, radiator etc. But, we are at almost 140,000 miles. It is our "work truck" and the interior has held up pretty darn well. Now that we have two kids, I love that we have enough space for the double stroller, gear, and car seats without feeling cramped at all.
Story
This van is spacious enough that my husband and myself have slept on the floor with the seats stowed while making overnight road trips, and have been pretty darn comfortable!
Pros
I absolutely love the stow & go seating. We have dogs who we put in crates when they ride in the car as well as two children, so when we need to change things around to suit our needs a the time, it is so easy to put the seats down into the seats or put them back up. I love how fast it is. The van is decently spacious, although does not feel as luxurious as my in-law's Honda Odyssey.
Cons
We have had to do a decent amount of maintenance on the vehicle, and I feel like it hasn't held up as well as some other makes of cars. Many electrical components have gone out such as some of the overhead lights, doors must be manually locked, and the buttons to open/shut the doors don't work any more. The hydraulics for the rear lift gate is losing functionality.
