The 2006 Chrysler Town & Country is a very reliable, worthwhile vehicle. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, but it offers just what I need. I have a larger family, with multiple small children. It accommodates car seats and booster seats well. This van has lots of standard, regular features that make it a great vehicle for families. I can drive with confidence knowing my children and I will arrive at our destination safely. I like the dual heat, automatic back windows, stow and go, and automatic sliding doors. I do slightly dislike the automatic sliding doors, since they can be a bit finicky. Overall, it's a very good vehicle. It is great for a family on a budget that doesn't require a ton of special features but would prefer something a bit more simple and uncomplicated. I f... (more)
Story
My girls got super excited when we first got to use the vehicle for school pick-up and drop-off. They loved that they could hit a button to open the door. It made them feel so independent and capable.
Pros
I loved the automatic sliding door option. When looking into vehicles, that was one of the top must-haves on my list. I wanted doors my children could easily open and close themselves. I also really like the dual heat offered. My previous van did not have this, and I feel better knowing that my children have A/? and heat in the back of the van. I don't need to worry that the air or heat from the front is not reaching them. I can trust that they are comfortable while riding in this vehicle. I also really like the ample room in the back for groceries or luggage. I utilize this area a lot for... (more)
Cons
There aren't a ton of negative things about this vehicle. I find it meets most of the expectations I had for a vehicle. I have had lots of problems with the automatic sliding doors. I bought this vehicle for that purpose. My children are too small to be able to open the doors on their own, and I am not always able to get out during school drop offs to open the door for them. I wanted automatic sliding doors so we could just push a button to open a close. A month after purchasing the vehicle, the automatic doors stopped working. I was really disappointed. I have looked up information about ... (more)

I fell in love with the Town and Country when my Expedition was in the shop for a bent frame after being rear-ended by a pickup truck. The rental we revived was a Town and Country. With four kids, everyone fit perfectly. Not only that, but by father had just passed away. My mom needed me to help her get all the plants and flowers from the funeral home. The stow-and-go seating made it a perfect fit for all the plants. So when the Expedition bit the dust, my husband and I searched online to find a Town and Country in our price range. We had to drive an hour to get it, but after test driving, we knew it was perfect. We bought our 2006 Town and Country with 130,000 miles on it. Our family does a lot of traveling because both sides of the family are out of town. On top of that, our childr... (more)
Story
Traveling to a swim meet in Fort Smith, Arkansas. My daughter and I ended up stuck in construction traffic for over an hour moving at less then ten miles an hour. The landscape was beautiful, so my daughter rolled down the window and took a ton of pictures. While the unexpected traffic was a nuisance, the van did a great job traveling at slow speeds on steep inclines, and we had a great time.
Pros
Stow-and-go seating. Reliable. Decent gas mileage. Roomy. Great vacation vehicle. Lots of storage space. Never had engine problems.
Cons
Cup holders for back passengers in center are flimsy. We have had trouble with the rear doors. The A/C doesn't do variations very well and goes from super cold to warm air.
