We purchased the Town and Country to accommodate our growing family. With three children under the age of 5, we need plenty of room to safely install child safety seats without sacrificing storage space. We can comfortably fit our family of five, our two dogs, all of the “accessories” that come along with small children, and still have plenty of space to pack our luggage for vacation. While we don’t regret our decision, it isn’t one we would make knowing what we know now.
Story
When we were out Christmas shopping last year, we were unloading our three kids and two of their friends from the van. An elderly gentleman parked beside us and commented that clown cars have clearly gotten an upgrade. We just laughed and agreed with him!
Pros
The pros of the Town and Country are, surprisingly, enough to convince us to keep it. As previously mentioned, it is extremely roomy and convenient. Because the doors open automatically and the van sits low to the ground, the children can get in and buckle themselves. The ride is comfortable, even for an adult sitting in the third row. The exterior has a really classic look with a more square backend and modern head and tail lights. The interior is easy to keep clean, the carpets are super durable, and style of the dash instruments makes it seem like a more expensive vehicle. The fuel econ... (more)
Cons
The cons of the Town and Country are the transmission performance and quality of build. The transmission regularly skips gears and has nearly stalled out on multiple occasions. It has been serviced twice in less than 70,000 miles. Unfortunately, the dealer has not been able to pinpoint the problem, other than to say it is a lemon. The motors in the sliding doors both had to be replaced before 50,000 miles because they stopped working effectively. The overhead storage spaces do not stay closed on their own and have been taped shut since we bought the van. Recently the tailgate lift motor ha... (more)

This is my second minivan and I could not be happier. I love the look of the vehicle and the style. I love the automatic doors. The entertainment system is easy to navigate through and use. Being able to link my phone and safely use it through Bluetooth is amazing! Smooth ride, no maintenance issues so far. Really like the eco button, helps save fuel on long rides! Kids love all the room, the storage inside is amazing! I love being able to store items in the stow and go areas, makes my car clutter free and organized at all times. My last van did not have windows that rolled down in the second row, so that is a major upgrade on this model! Paint seems quite durable, kids have bumped into it over and over with their bikes and scooters with no damage. Kids love that they can plug their iP... (more)
Story
The first night we had our van we took her on a tour of our town and took her to our favorite restaurant and toasted to her. Now, every year on the anniversary of her purchase, we take her to get detailed as a treat!
Pros
I love the eco mode, really helps with MPG. I like being able to track my MPG on the display as well. Love the touch screen radio and the controls on the back of the steering wheel. Love how easy it is to store the seats, especially how they store in the van without having to remove them! Automatic doors and rear lift gate are so helpful!!! My husband's favorite part is how the rear seats fold forward for tailgating! I love the storage in the center console.
Cons
Not a ton of leg space for anyone riding in the third row.
