I have put roughly 110,000 miles on my car since I purchased it with little to no mechanical or cosmetic issues. In addition to standard car maintenance including oil changes, tire changes/rotations, new battery, brakes, etc. I have only had to change the alternator and the serpentine belt. Cosmetically there is still no visible rust or other any other issues with the vehicle. All of the electronics systems have performed at or above standard, although there is no navigation system which is somewhat inconvenient. In terms of drive ability this car is above average when compared to the others that I have owned. We have taken it on many trips and utilized some of its great features including the in-dash drink cooler! It also get roughly 22-27 mpg which is about average. The only downsid... (more)
Story
Whenever my friends and I get together we always use my vehicle for travel. We have taken a variety of trips in varying lengths and all of them have been fun with everyone being comfortable. One trip in particular we stored an extra passenger in the back hatch section. Not recommended but it sure was a blast!
Pros
There are several positive aspects of this vehicle including; the space in the hatch for storage of luggage etc., An in the dash drink cooler, plenty of passenger room, and the fact that it has had almost no mechanical issues.
Cons
Overall there are not many negatives with this vehicle. My biggest issues with the vehicle is the lack of horsepower and its somewhat feminine styling.

2007 Dodge Caliber - I am happy with my purchase.

I bought the car about two years ago, and it has served me well. I have put about 20,000 miles on the car so far and it has given me very little trouble as I commute to work and school. It even made it from Alabama to Texas when I moved states. It drives very smoothly and is quiet. It even has a place to store beverages that will keep them cool while you are on the road.
Story
I moved from Alabama to Texas and I took my car all the way. It was a fun and exciting experience. I always think back to that time in my life as one of the happiest.
Pros
I love how spacious the vehicle is. The rear seats fold down to make it easy for you to store and haul whatever you may need to. Another bonus is that if you are traveling alone, the passenger seat can also be folded down flat to make even more room length wise. I was able to fit a 6 foot tall cat tree in my car! I like that the car has an outlet for normal electric plugs and also that they cup holders light up.
Cons
I had some trouble with the alternator after about 80,000 miles, but that may be due to my own error. The electric outlet in the vehicle never worked from the time that I bought it (I bought it used). I wish that the car had some upgrades like leather seats and tinted windows, but really, for the price, I cannot complain.
