My 2012 Dodge Charger has been a great car for me. I named it Admiral Hazard after retired rear admiral Roberta L. Hazard. The nickname is partly for the play on words (Hazard also referencing the Dukes of Hazard, a TV show with whom a Charger named after another Flag Officer was a main character) and partly because you are suppose to name vehicles after women. I just call it The Admiral most the time however. I commute over 40 miles to work each day and this car is a joy when heading in to work and home from it. The Charger SE only has a V6 engine but still packs plenty of horsepower for passing on the freeway. It gets about 28 miles to the gallon, which for its horsepower output, is wonderful. The cabin of the car is comfortable, quiet, and stylish. The car (mine is white) resembles ... (more)
Story
This car is great on less traveled highways. On roads that cut through national and/or state forest (scenic roads like highway 40 in Florida), this car adds a delightful place to enjoy the road.
Pros
Affordable. Comfortable. Powerful. Energy efficient. Stylish. Spacious in the cabin and trunk.
Cons
While mostly reliable, the unreliable parts were dangerous and costly. Loan terms are unreasonable and the dealer was high pressure (but these are not really cons about the car itself). Not as powerful as the higher, more costly Chargers. Not as spacious as a pickup truck, nor as good in the towing capability, but still pretty good for a sedan.
