First off, the color caught my eye. This truck is a royal blue. Beautiful. Being in my truck, gives me the feeling of being higher than other vehicles. I enjoy how it sits high. There is a spacious feeling even when you have five people inside. The back is huge. I haven't found anything I have needed to move or carry that I couldn't fit inside. And I love the 4x4 in the winter. I do wish I would have gotten leather, heated seats, as the cloth does stain easily -- even though it is a dark color. Also, the seats and trim are dark, and the ceiling and pillars are an ivory. It is a nice contract that I rather like. It drives like I expect for a truck. It's not a sport's car but still has some get up and go and definitely gets me through the snow when I need it to.
Story
Snow, snow, snow. Nothing like being stuck in the winter. I live on a street where I have a hill either way to leave and without 4x4, I would never make it in the winter. It's fun to be able to drive through a foot of snow and see the winter wonderland outside.
Pros
4x4 is the best thing. I live in Iowa, and we get snow, and this is the only vehicle I drive when there is snow and ice on the ground. Easy to put into four-wheel drive with just the twist of a knob. I also like there is a actual plug in the back for the passengers so they are not using up my cigarette lighter for their phones. I love the color. It is such an awesome blue. It handles well in all weather types, especially snow. The space is perfect, and you can fold down the back seats to gain even more.
Cons
I wish the seats didn't stain so easily, even spilling water leaves a mark. It does drive like a truck, so it can be a bit stiff at times. I would like it to be a little smoother and not feel the bumps so much when driving on uneven surfaces. It does use a nice amount of gas compared to some of my other vehicles so better gas mileage would be a plus. I would have liked to have a sunroof.

2008 Dodge Nitro - Not worth it.

When the vehicle was first purchased, it did not have any problems the first year or so. Ever since then, it has had issues with different parts needing replaced, gas mileage being incredibly inefficient, air conditioning breaking several times, feeling like the car is going to break down every time I accelerate. One time, a part came off of the driver seat for some reason, I think it was already almost broke when we bought it and someone kicked it accidentally and the piece fell off. Overall, this is one of the worst vehicles that I have ever owned. I would not recommend anyone buying a new or a used Dodge Nitro at all, especially one that was already as old as the one I bought used.
Story
We took it down a trail to a secluded river with a bunch of friends. It was a steep trail with a lot of mud but the vehicle was able to handle it very well.
Pros
It has a good amount of storage space in the back. It can also fit five people comfortably on long trips as well as all the cargo in the back. It is a generally safe vehicle being so large and bulky. One time I got hit in the passenger side by a truck turning into me and I barely felt anything.
Cons
The Nitro has terrible gas mileage. It feels like it is running so hard every time you accelerate and the muffler has trouble staying on as well. So many parts broke on the vehicle, something needed to be replaced almost every year.
