Hatchback car with great storage and fuel economy
I bought this car because I was looking for a hatchback that was roomier than the sub-compacts that are frequently seen on the market today. The Elantra GT was one of the only cars out there that fit the bill (and my budget!). I love having the more flexible cargo space that comes along with owning this car. With the seats folded down, I was able to easily fit the baby crib that I purchased at Walmart, with room to fit the crib mattress as well. The seats fold down easily, although they do not fold completely flat. The base model comes with plenty of features that make this car a serious upgrade from my previous 2004 Honda Civic. The front heated seats have two settings, and they're great on cold winter days. The Bluetooth capabilities make hands-free calling easy and allows me to play audio from my phone through the car stereo. Fuel efficiency isn't quite as good as what I got from my old Civic, but I manage an average of about 32mpg driving mainly to and from work which is still excellent! After owning this car for 4 years, I have nearly 80,000 miles on it and haven't had any major problems. In fact, the only issue I've had to have serviced by the dealership is the stereo which occasionally turns itself off and back on for no apparent reason. (Two separate dealerships never were able to identify the cause of the problem, but it happens infrequently enough that I can live with that outcome.) The one thing that does bother me about this car is the cloth used for the interior. It's a coarser, textured fabric that looks great style-wise, but is a pain to clean. I'd almost prefer a more traditional style cloth interior, and I'd suggest going for leather if it's in your budget. Overall, I'm satisfied with this vehicle, and I would recommend the car to others.

Good car with a few exceptions.
My 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT (hatchback) has been a reliable, dependent vehicle whose only issues so far have been small cosmetic defects that I wish would have come up more in reviews when I was originally researching the car. Overall, the car has not had any major issues and has continued to perform well even into the 70,000+ mile range that is it in now.
