When we found out we were having twins, it was time to move up to something with a lot more space. After looking at other mini vans, we decided we better give Kia a chance. They were cheaper price wise than their competitors. It was great. It did not drive like a tank, which one of the others we test drove did. The materials used, although didn't compare to one of the higher priced competitors, were better than a few of the others we had test drove. We wanted cloth seats and the materials used were on point for us. They are easy to clean. Space wise, it was super comparable to others. We really worried about safety ratings. After being T boned by a drunk driver, those worries were put to rest. My child slept through it and the damage was pretty minimal in reality. Price to Quality, thi... (more)
Story
We filled this van up with our family to go to the diamond mines. We had so much fun singing and playing road games. It was super memorable because some of the family I hadn't seen in many years.
Pros
Having the cigarette lighter adapter in the rear of the vehicle has been nice for using an air pump to blow up soccer balls at soccer practice or to charge a lap top. The trunk storage is great. We have had a double stroller and a wagon back there with room to spare. We are a family of four and when we vacation it holds everything there and then you know you always have more on the way back and it holds it all. Power: one reason we looked at this was because it had the most power in it's class at the time. You don't want to stomp the gas if the pavement is wet or it will spin tires. It's a... (more)
Cons
Leg room in the back row is minimal. This is fine for a child, however, it's not that comfortable on long stretches for an adult. We thought we would like the DVD player, however, it never gets used. When my children were rear facing it was super useless and now that they are older they are not interested in it. Sometimes if the vehicle is on an incline the sliding doors can get picky and not shut electronically. It thinks something is in the track. I wish every seating spot in the rear had a top tether for a car seat. The middle rear seat belt is uncomfortable for both a child and an adul... (more)

The Kia Sedona is a great reliable family car. It handles well in all conditions, the ride is incredibly smooth. It's a quiet ride. I love the Sirius/XM. It is low maintenance. I loved the reliable AC in the summer and it has great heat in the winter. It is so spacious. I love that the back row of seats folds down flat giving me area to load things into the car. When the seats are up there is a huge cargo well to put groceries. Not only do the seat fold into the car, they can be completely removed from the car. There are even hangers on the back of the seats so that you can hang your groceries. There is a large amount of storage in all parts of the car. All the seats in the car and incredibly comfortable. I love that there are four captains chairs that all recline so that I can separat... (more)
Story
This morning it was raining really bad in Fort Worth. The roads started flooding. I am so used to driving small cars I was honestly worried about the height of the water. The I remembered we were up higher in the minivan and got a little more confident. Just then a car splashed water and I couldn't see anything. I slowed down and turned the wipers on higher. It was scary, but funny. I'm glad I... (more)
Pros
I have nothing but positive things to say about this vehicle. We are a family of five and our family car was a sedan. Now there is plenty of room for everyone. The seats are comfortable. The stereo is great. It drives like a dream. I love everything about it.
Cons
I wish I had a model with doors that opened by pushing a button, but that's an extra and not really a negative about the car. I can't think of anything negative about the car and I've had it a year.
