I drive a Kia Sportage. The color caught my eye initially. It is a warm orange and the name of the paint color is "Vitamin C". It has a black interior and I especially appreciate the surfaces inside, as they feel high quality and are easy to clean. I have children and we take long family trips in the car, so we eat and drink and get sand and grass from the beach and hiking, yet it is easy to maintain. I got the turbo, too, and I am pleased with the car's pick up - it is fast even though it is only a 4 cylinder. It is my first SUV.
Story
We took the kids to their first drive-in and they put the seat down and stretched out to enjoy the show.
Pros
Roomy interior USB port Bluetooth, so my mobile connects and I can talk hands-free Each door has a water bottle pocket Back seat lays forward to increase cargo space - you can even sleep there, so bring your sleeping bags! Hidden compartment in the back above the spare tire. There is an insert with compartments to carry lots of stuff
Cons
Not as tight as I would like. I like driving luxury cars that block the exterior noise, and you can still hear the noise from outside in this car. I also wish the shock system was a little more heavy duty. You definitely feel the bumps in the road.

I purchased a used 2011 Kia Sportage two years ago after my car was totaled in an accident. I went looking for a well-priced car with lower mileage (<50k). This car has not had one issue or caused me any disappointment since, and I have driven it from South Dakota to Texas for our move, as well as several 6+ hour road trips within Texas. The fuel economy of the vehicle is outstanding. On average, I get about $20/$25 fills up, and my tank lasts nearly a week. Although I drive the basic model, it drives smoothly, and the seats are also very comfortable. It is a smaller cross-sized SUV, but it fits a larger car seat in the back row with no issue -- making this the perfect family car. The design is sleek, but it's a car well suited for everyday use. I feel at ease knowing this car has high... (more)
Story
We drove from South Dakota to Texas for our move with our newborn and dog in tow!
Pros
My favorite features are the fuel economy, sleek design and high safety ratings.
Cons
My only con would be the smaller trunk space due to it being a smaller crossover SUV.
