2007 Mazda CX-9 Owner Ratings & Reviews

2007 Mazda CX-9 - Great dependable vehicle
The car has treated me pretty well over the past couple of years that I have used it for. It has a lot of space so that I can carpool with all of the kids to get them to their sporting events. Also I like the touch screen that it has in the center console. It lets me listen to music or use the built in navigation system. The next thing I like about the car is the built in DVD player. Kids can watch a movie on long car rides or even on short 30 minute trips. The DVD player comes with a nice little remote and holder that hooks onto the backs of the seats and also comes with two headphones so that they can listen to the music while I listen to the radio. I also love how the car sounds like I am driving an airplane when I use it. It is very smooth on the road and is very quiet for a car so... (more)
Story
Nothing too fun except a couple speeding tickets.
Pros
A list of my favorite features on the vehicle include the DVD player with headphones included, built in navigation system, rear-view camera that shows me how far I am from something when backing up, leather interior, Sirius satellite radio compatibility, huge trunk space, 8 person seating with two seats in the back of the car, the ability to pull down the seats so you can fit something like a bike into the trunk, and I also love the sound system in the car.
Cons
I don't like how it takes so much time and effort to change from Sirius satellite radio to Bluetooth compatible audio. I also don't like how the car makes all these weird sounds and sometimes shakes when I drive it.
2007 Mazda CX-9 - Great car, great price, great experience!
This car has held up well over the years. I bought it new off the showroom floor with 7 miles on it and it now has over 230,000. The interior has held up well; with the exception of the driver's seat (which gets the most wear) the interior looks new. The entertainment package still works like day one and has kept my kids happy from their toddler days to teenage years. They have even figured out how to hook an Xbox to it. The maintenance on the car has been easy, general maintenance. No difficult items that have needed replacing. The cargo capacity of this vehicle blows everyone away! I am an event planner and the amount of items I can carry in my car with the seats down is amazing. I have even carried four 8’ folding tables, and a 12’ Christmas tree with the hatch closed! The e... (more)
Story
Getting the four 8' folding tables and a 12' Christmas tree in addition to other items in the car and seeing everyone's faces as we kept unloading more and more things. No one could believe that this car could hold that much stuff!
Pros
It has held not only its monetary value but its aesthetic value. I love the cargo capacity and my kids love the entertainment package.
Cons
The biggest challenge with this car is the wheel bearings tend to go out and need to be replaced. That is something I haven't experienced with other cars.
