I've had my CX9 for six weeks. I absolutely love everything about it. Just the right size, comfortable, all safety equipment. There's nothing I would do different. A great experience! I recently purchased a used Mazda CX 9. I love the space. It has the third-row option or a bigger trunk, which is fantastic. The leather seats with the heat capability are great too. The main dislike I have is that the gas mileage is not very good.
Story
Family trips and taking students places. I have loved having this vehicle to drive around town and to bring my daughter to school and get my family around much more comfortable than in my car. I loved the gas mileage of the car, but to have such a spacious vehicle, has been so awesome. I love the button on the door to lock and unlock, and I love the option to have the trunk door automatically ... (more)
Pros
Third row, leather, heated seats, nav, touchscreen, comfortable, great ride, good power, and lots of room. Overall, just an awesome car.
Cons
Gas mileage. Size. Bluetooth malfunctions. It is difficult to access the third row of seats. I wish the rear hatch raised a bit higher. My husband is 6’1” and I hit my head on it all the time. Seats are heated but not air cooled! Getting out is kind of awkward but not too uncomfortable. Air conditioning controls could have been in a little more user friendly location. GPS would definitely been better had it had real time traffic conditions and capability to zoom into current location.

2014 Mazda CX-9 - Mazda is awesome.

If you're shopping the midsize SUV class, the CX-9 should be one of the first models you test drive. It gives you plenty of passenger space while also providing fun on curvy roads. The CX-9 is one of the few three-row SUVs that offer enough space in the last row to comfortably fit two adults. However, buyers who need to haul heavy loads of cargo or tow large trailers may be better off with a truck-based rival. And with a smaller cargo capacity than some rivals, the CX-9 may not suit those need lots of cargo space.
Story
All three rows are roomy. The first row is especially spacious, with generous shoulder room between the driver and front passenger. Unlike most three-row SUVs, the CX-9 can comfortably accommodate adults in the third row, though getting into and out of it can be difficult.
Pros
Comfort, luxury, space, leather, and heated seats.
Cons
Gas mileage,
