I have a Mazda 5 that I currently use for rideshare. What I like the most about it is that it's roomy. It has seating for five plus the driver and plenty of hidden storage space. In my line of work, one of the most important qualities of any car is the gas mileage. The Mazda 5 has decent gas mileage, sporting a 23+ MPG, (my experience, that is).
Story
My favorite memory is when I had a hole in the exhaust pipe. The car was incredibility loud, but it sounded like a race car. I was driving downtown through a winding tunnel, and the sound it made as I was navigating the twists and turns made me feel like I was really racing along.
Pros
It's roomy. It has decent gas mileage. It's sporty. It has decent pickup for being a minivan. It doesn't look like the typical minivan.
Cons
It's small. While it does have seating for six and great storage capacity, it can only hold six people or a lot of cargo, not both. It also suffers from the normal Mazda rust around the rear wheels. The tires are low-profile, so you have to be weary of potholes. Finally, it's not made for a 6'3" driver.

I recently bought a 2007 Mazda 5. It looks similar to a hatchback, but it is a compact mini van. It has a sliding side door and three rows of seats. I like the look of the 5 and the fact that it does not feel lumbering like a mini van. I like the styling of the interior. It is very roomy and comfortable overall. The third row of seating has less leg room, but would still be good for children.
Story
I have only had the vehicle for about two weeks so I don't have any stories yet.
Pros
There is a surprising amount of interior room inside the Mazda 5. The front and second row of seats feature captains chairs with arm rests. It is very comfortable and easy to drive. I like the styling of the 5. It does not feel like the typical "soccer mom" mini van.
Cons
The third row of seating features a bench seat, but probably would be a tight fit as far as leg room for an adult to be in the third row. The back has a small storage area, but the third row of seats can be folded down if you need extra storage space. There is a rattling noise coming from the back end, possibly from a loose body panel- but that is an easy fix.
