I recently bought a 2007 Mazda 5. It looks similar to a hatchback, but it is a compact mini van. It has a sliding side door and three rows of seats. I like the look of the 5 and the fact that it does not feel lumbering like a mini van. I like the styling of the interior. It is very roomy and comfortable overall. The third row of seating has less leg room, but would still be good for children.
Story
I have only had the vehicle for about two weeks so I don't have any stories yet.
Pros
There is a surprising amount of interior room inside the Mazda 5. The front and second row of seats feature captains chairs with arm rests. It is very comfortable and easy to drive. I like the styling of the 5. It does not feel like the typical "soccer mom" mini van.
Cons
The third row of seating features a bench seat, but probably would be a tight fit as far as leg room for an adult to be in the third row. The back has a small storage area, but the third row of seats can be folded down if you need extra storage space. There is a rattling noise coming from the back end, possibly from a loose body panel- but that is an easy fix.

This minivan is the perfect size for my family. It seats six people and the bench seat in the back folds down to allow for more trunk space. Another thing we enjoy is that four of the seats are bucket seats, which allows for less arguing among our children. Everyone has plenty of leg room, arm rests and cup holders. Also, this vehicle has given me the best gas mileage out of all of the vehicles I have owned in the past. On one tank of gas we can travel for a little under 400 miles as opposed to the 250 miles in our last car.
Story
I took a road trip with my children to Bond Falls in upper Michigan. We had a blast listening to our favorite music, having snacks and sodas and telling jokes.
Pros
Seating. Leg room. Gas mileage.
Cons
Lower to the ground. Backseat windows go all the way down and don't have a child safety feature. Doors don't automatically lock when the automobile is put into gear.
