2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class - Good car for its time but now outdated.
Solely reviewing the car for its time, a 2002 vehicle, the car is luxurious and is clearly made with high-quality materials in its interior and exterior. The transmission must have also been of high quality, as it did not give out/need replacement until January 2017 after ~180K miles. The car is very stylish, spacious, and has a beautiful build; however, its requirement of premium fuel makes it a rather unappealing buy for a college student like myself. I have found the gas mileage to be very decent, ~17 MPG city and up to 25 MPG highway. Story
The sunroof is a great plus for when it gets warm in the spring and summer! Driving with the sunroof open and blasting the music is always a positive feeling.
Pros
The wooden build of the console and dashboard are beautiful.
Cons
Its lack of aux or Bluetooth capabilities is difficult to deal with, although I solved this problem by purchasing an FM transmitter. The premium gasoline is a major setback as well, as gas can often cause significantly more. Certain other features (aesthetic and electronic) are also missed in such an old model.
2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class - It's got a great handle, but it's hell on gas.
I love Mercedes-Benzes vehicles because they are incredibly safe vehicles. I am not the safest driver in the world, and I love that they have metal frames that keep me and my passengers/ loved ones safe.
Pros
1. Safety.
2. Size.
3. Prestige.
4. Turning Radius.
Cons
1. Parts are hard/expensive to replace over time.
2. Gas is expensive.
3. Transmissions have been a problem in this car, and other Benz' that I've owned.
4. The engine in the windows has broken on me several times.
