I have always drove fords but since the Mercury was a demo and less money decided to give it a try and we have not regretted it at all.
Story
It was when wee first got the car and the older grandkids (5 of them) thought they would surprise us by sitting in he trunk of the car with the lid open and wanting a picture.
Pros
Very comfortable for sitting. Seats are easy to clean. Great gas mileage. Roomy Secure seat belts love the automatic seats. Occasionally the electrical gives us problems. Trunk is a good size and can also do a lot of groceries.
Cons
Seats are sticky when hot. The carpet is light colored and very hard to keep clean. Seats not real user friendly for dogs. Way to hot for their body.

I bought this vehicle in 2004 and have always done the routine maintenance on it. It has been very reliable. I have never had a breakdown on the road. One of the best things is that it has a lot of legroom and headroom for tall people. It can hold a lot of stuff. We have moved several times and have not had to rent a moving van. We can use the van and make multiple trips. We can take the seats out and fit our couch in it. The recliners will fit one at a time. The van has nice big windows with few blind spots. It is raised up higher than cars so you have a nice viewpoint advantage. My granddaughters car seat sets in the first row of seats where you can keep an eye on her and she will get the benefit of the view and the heater or air conditioning. I did have a little trouble at first lea... (more)
Story
We have taken the minivan to the lake on many occasions and also slept in it for one night. We have taken it out of town for a little escape from the city to see the red rocks or for long drives.
Pros
Favorite features include the space. Head and foot room for the driver and front seat passenger. The overall uses for the vehicle. and the reliability. It is ten years old and still runs great.
Cons
On the negative side the passengers have little legs room. The back seats are fine for children and short people. If the middle seat was set back about six inches that would improve it a lot. Also, I do not like the tire being mounted under the vehicle. It would be better in a recessed compartment in the back of the van. Also, the long screws came out that holds the plastic together for the driver seat. We have put them back, but they do not stay.
