Good Full-Sized Family Sedan
A 2005 Nissan Maxima is a full-sized sedan and can be intimidating for someone more used to compact coupes (like myself), but I have come to really enjoy this car. Anyone who has multiple passengers in the back seat, including a car seat, will appreciate the large back seat and with its V6 engine, it has a surprising amount of speed for a car its size. After 10 years, very little maintenance has been required outside the regular interval preventative maintenance and with the exception of one or two components it looks like a car 5 years younger. Accent and trim pieces have begun to show their age but the seats, interior, and paint still look fantastic.

It had potential, but I was unaware of its major problems when purchasing the vehicle.
I bought this car after doing some research online and paid $3,000. Initially, it was a good car to get me from Point A to Point B. I was in desperate need of a car but wanted something that didn't look like it was going to breakdown at any moment. I dished out the few thousand and was satisfied for a few weeks. There were many problems with the car that were not told to me. The power steering made it difficult to make any sort of turns in the car and it was always a major pain to park and not feel like I was going to hit the cars occupying the nearby spaces. What I liked about the car was its build and the fact that it had a sunroof. The interior was nice. The car looked nice on the outside, but was a complete disaster while driving it. It was unreliable and I had to make stops while driving long-distances because it would just shut off at times.
