Great first car!
This is a great first car. It has treated me very well. The car gets reasonable gas mileage for an mid-size SUV, it has plenty of space for anything that I could need it for, and it drives great.

Humbly Satisfied
I like the handling of the vehicle, for it basically being a "lunch-box on wheels" it handles curves very well. It goes from off road to city driving very well and is comfortable in both conditions. I dislike the clips used on interior interfaces (plastics around radio, door clips) they break very easily. The number 6 spark plug is also very difficult to access.

Reliable midsize vehicle
The Nissan Xterra is new to me, but so far it seems to be a reliable vehicle. I find it comfortable for a short daily commute of 12 miles to work and it has a strong engine. The body style of the first generation is almost 10 years old and it's hard to tell the year difference between a 2004 and a 2014 model. The only difference is the style of the headlights - the 2004 is round where the newer versions are square. I'm not sure if the interior design is different but it really doesn't matter much to me. With the way it runs at 120,000 miles, I'm sure to get another 60K easy without very much maintenance issues to worry about. I did a review of the vehicle before purchase and based the purchase on reliability factor and dependability and looks and style. Cargo space was also a factor and seems to be spacious even though it is a slimmer version of SUV. I would recommend this vehicle if you are looking for something that has the capability to haul passengers easily and cargo if necessary in a suburban area. Note that my vehicle is not a 4X4.
