2004 Toyota Avalon - The best new used car I have ever owned.

The very first thing I liked about the vehicle, even before I bought it, was the body style. My Toyota Avalon is a 2004, but I prefer the style of mine better than the style of the 2017's. After purchasing the car, I fell in love with the feel of it. It rides real smooth. It is definitely a luxury car. Another thing I like about it is how quiet it is. Sometimes when its on, I forget. I have to either look at the dashboard to check, or I will push the gas a little to see if it revs up. Crazy, I know. I have been in my car talking to someone, and when I went to put the car in reverse they were shocked that the car was still running because its so quiet. I like how spacious the trunk is. I also like how spacious the inside of the car is. It has very nice leg room. It was used when I bough... (more)
Story
One fun memorable story is, I have never been able to travel in any other vehicle I have had because of the condition of it. So when I finally got something more reliable, I was stuck in the state of mind of denial. I was almost afraid to even do it, but on the other hand, I knew I could. So one day I decided me and my son was going to drive to Texas. I prayed the whole way there. And guess wh... (more)
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle is when I bought it, it was in great condition and still is. It still rides very good. Its also great on gas. One of my favorite features about this car is the power adjustments. When I need to adjust my seats the power buttons allow the seats to go forward, back, and even tilt to make sure you're in the perfect position for driving. The driver and the passenger seat both have that feature. Another feature I love are the power windows. It feels good to be able to adjust any window I need, or want to adjust, put up or down, from the driver seat. Th... (more)
Cons
One of the top negative things I don't like about the vehicle was the fact that the check engine light was on. Of course no one knew why it was on, and I couldn't afford to pay the Toyota dealership to find out why it was on. Thank God the previous owner wanted the car to be like new when I purchased it, so they paid for everything; the check and the service to fix the problem. But, because the car is still in such great shape and never gave me or the previous owner any problems, slowly but surely things are starting to come up that need to be taken care of either now, or in the near futur... I love this car for the most part. She has some issues, & that is a frequent occurrence.
Story
Driving home for Christmas with my boyfriend, sunroof down as it was randomly like 70 degrees here.
Pros
I absolutely love the comfort that this car provides. It is generally a very smooth ride, and it is one of the things that sold me on this vehicle. I love that there is a display in the front center of the vehicle that tells me how many miles till empty, fuel economy, and the temperature outside. I find it really nifty, and it is a feature that I haven't had in any of my other cars that I've purchased. I love that the seats have warmers. I had decided with my car prior that my next car really should have them, and I'm glad that I stuck with this feature being important. It's really nice wh... (more)
Cons
I definitely have had some major issues with this car. It has a tendency to be temperamental when it comes to repairs, and whenever I get something fixed it seems to break again quickly or something else breaks in the process of the repair. It has been this way since I got the car. For instance, I got my suspension worked on at the Toyota dealership (if anyone knows how to fix a Toyota vehicle without issue, it should be them, right?) and they installed a strut that broke days later. When I brought it back, they originally said it my power steering going out and missed the issue completely... (more)
