My Toyota Avalon is literally the best car I have ever owned. It is a very roomy sedan. It gets great gas mileage. Even in really cold weather, it starts every time I drive it. I put some good tires on it, and this helped with great traction. I have never had major problems with this car and in the past with my other cars, I was in the repair shop numerous times. My CD player has room for six discs at once, a feature I have never had in a car before. This makes long road trips a breeze. I have already planned that when it's time for me to buy another car, I am getting a Toyota. The engine has plenty of get up and go! I never worry about driving it on the interstate and getting up to highway speed in a timely manner.
Story
I drive on icy, winter roads here, and it almost always stops on a dime. With good tires, fishtailing is minimal. I did have some fishtailing last winter, but I was able to pull it out of a potential slide easily.
Pros
It is roomy. It gets great gas mileage. It is the most reliable car I have ever owned. Since purchasing this car, I have told many people that they need to buy Toyota all the way. I have even offered to loan the car to my parents for a trip, just so they could see how smoothly it drives.
Cons
My mileage is now considered "high," so I have to keep on top of maintenance. For this car, I have to fuel up with at least 87 grade gasoline. This can get expensive if gas prices are higher. My oil changes are usually over $80 every 5,000 miles.

I have owned many Toyotas, and the Avalon has not disappointed. It is an excellent vehicle. I bought the car used from a family member. I knew about the maintenance history, so I was not concerned. The previous owner is very savvy about cars and is also very interested in maintenance. I know he changes oil all the time. He also performed regular maintenance with brakes , lubes, transmission and air conditioning. I was very confident of the vehicles integrity when I bought it . When I bought it, it had about 25,000 mile on it. It had been garaged kept . He did not have children, so the interior was immaculate. I got a great deal on it, and it has been running for years. The engineering is impeccable. I do a lot of highway driving, and the ride is perfect. It is not as heavy as a Lexus ,... (more)
Story
I was driving in the snow, and I could not believe the handling. It was very responsive compared to my truck.
Pros
Gas mileage, reliability, paint, interior, and ride. The tire wear is very good. A/C is very cold.
Cons
Acceleration is a little weak. Braking could be better. I don't like the sound system.
