This little sports car, is great for people who want a stylish, sporty car, that won't break the bank. This car gets great gas mileage, and handles like a dream. I never have had any issues with the car, and the mechanic finds it sound. I bought this car to supplement my SUV, and help save on gas. It does that, I get 35 miles per gallon, plus sometimes. It is efficient, all the while looking like I spent a lot of money on it. The inside is comfortable, with a lot more leg room and head room than other little sports cars. The dash has everything conveniently located and looking stream lined and fashionable. The color both inside and out, is shiny with a hint of metallic which gives it a luxurious feel. I really enjoy this car. It has the Toyota penchant for reliability and safety so I am not worried about it breaking down after 20,000 miles. The 0% interest financing option was also a nice touch. Like all recent Toyotas though, the Avalon seems to have been a victim of cost-cutting. A lot of the trims seem to be made of lower cost materials compared to earlier editions. This is just something to keep in mind.
Story
I took this car on a road trip through SE United States. Had a great time with it and will highly recommend this car to anyone.
Pros
I really like the handling and the acceleration. The issue with other cars in this class I found - compared to Hondas especially - is that the handling can be kind of mushy which leads to kind of a disjoined driving experience. This does not occur with the Avalon. It is a true pleasure to drive. The interior is quiet and spacious and can easily handle individuals who are larger than average. This is just another example of something I enjoyed.
Cons
I guess the top negative things is that the lower cost trimmings compared to previous models, which made the car look a little cheap. Also, I wished the cup holders were a little larger and the AC a little bit stronger. It takes a while to get going in a hot summer day.
