2006 Toyota Avalon OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

This car is the first Toyota for my family and is the very first car that has been virtually maintenance free!
My wife and I are so glad we purchased our 2006 Toyota Avalon back in 2009. The car had extremely high mileage due to being owned by a sales rep. We picked it anyway and it had been a dream car.
This car is very low maintenance even with the high miles we have had to do no major repairs. The only minor one has been changing out the break pad cause we live in the mountains
We are definitely going to buy another Toyota for our next purchase I don't know when that will be with the great luck we have with this one. If you like a very smooth ride with great pick up and comfort along with very sound proof interior then you will love the car
All we have done is keep the oil clean and drive.

It is overall a very good car.
The Avalon is a very nice mid-luxury vehicle. The main thing I dislike it it's overall size/length. It is too long. The overall look of the car is good, not great but still stylish for a 10+ year old car. It has above average quality, no rattles, components like electrics always work. I did have a little annoyance with the drivers window in that it squeaked when putting it up or down but that has worked itself out. The 3.5L V6 has adequate performance for a full size car although in town mileage is a little low for my liking at about 16-17 mpg. Highway is adequate at 32-35 mpg. I've had the car for about 5 years and for the most part enjoyed. It has grown on me!

I think my car has a great engine and build.
I personally like how comfortable the Toyota Avalon is. It feels like you are in a boat when you are on the road. it is smooth sailing along the highways. The sound system that is built in sounds marvelous with every type of song. My car is almost at 200,000 miles, and I have only needed to regular maintenance. I have never heard the car rattle and never hear the wind when the windows are closed. The interior is very classy and even has a wood accent on the dashboard and doors. Even though my car is a 2006 model, it gets an average of 35 miles a gallon . The back seat of the car is massive. I work in the film industry and always have to lug things. This is great because now I have the room to pack the back seat and trunk of my car. It feels like I have a van when I only have a sedan. I love that in the backseat there isn't a big thing protruding in the middle seat. It is flat, which makes it very comfortable for guests and or more room for stuff on my hauls!
