Reliable and Convenient
I was "sold" on the vehicle after watching a TV show review. I love that the vehicle has plenty of airbags for safety and that the SUV is built on a car frame which makes it more nimble. The quality of the engine and the fact that I have over 175,000 miles and never had any issues is another reason I purchased a Toyota. I specifically bought an SUV to have to ability to "haul" a lot of things and also have room for passengers. I have moved furniture and boxes and even slept in the back with the seats down while camping. Being a 6-cylinder, it has great pep, which is essential for freeway driving. I am fine with the gas mileage of 23 mpg since I get everything else I want from the vehicle. And yes, it does look somewhat like a mini van and I have been asked if I have kids by people who just see my vehicle, but I value utility over aesthetics when it comes to an everyday vehicle.

Highlander: a step towards excellence.
I would give my Toyota Highlander a 4 out of 5 stars. There are so many things to love about this car. Let's start with the features that I love. This is a good family car which is perfect because I have two little kids to cart around with me all the time. You can fit a family of five relatively comfortable. Unfortunately, this model does not have the third row, so five is the maximum number of occupants this car can hold. I also love that even though this is a family car, it still has a sun roof. I enjoy this because I am not quite ready to let go of my youth and this helps keep me young. Another thing that I love is the gas mileage. I am not sure on specifics, but it does way better than my Durango did. In addition, the seat warmers are amazing and work so well. They are a huge plus, especially in the winter. The back boot are provides you so much storage space. I have never had a problem fitting all of my groceries into the back of my car. We were even able to fit our floor air conditioning unit in there, with room to spare. One of the only complaints that I have about my car is the amount of leg room for my fiancé. He is 6' 5" though, so it is very hard to find him a car that gives him enough room for his legs.
