I love everything about my Highlander. It is great on gas with a four-cylinder engine. Yet, it still has the pick up to get going quickly. I have had the car for ten years and not one single thing other than routine maintenance has ever gone wrong with it. Wonderful vehicle. I wish I could keep it forever. It is a quiet ride, and the sound system factory has been more than sufficient for me. It holds my son's car seat, stroller, and groceries all at once with ease. The seats fold down easily and gives you tons of cargo space. Comes with a full-sized spare tire located under the car and easily accessible. Has an extra snow button for when you need the tires to grip the road a bit better. I have the base model with no extra bells or whistles, but it has been everything I needed with no u... (more)
Story
This is the car I went on my first date with my husband in. It is also the car we used to bring our son home from the hospital. It was there from the moment our love started and has seen us through every step of our relationship, us merging as a family, and when our family grew to an additional member. It is the unofficial fourth family member!
Pros
Great storage capacity, comfortable steering wheel and seats, and great gas mileage. Well made. Goes 5k miles before it needs an oil change, and even then, it doesn't burn the oil up if you go longer.
Cons
Only bad thing I can say is the seats stain easily even with water.

This is a great family vehicle. We bought it to replace our 2001 Toyota 4Runner. It has approx. 150,000 miles and runs like new (aside from a few oil drips). The mileage is fairly low for city driving, but does much better on long road trips. We never feel concerned that our car will have major issues while we're on the road. We fit our two young children in the back seat, and a small adult can fit between their car seats. This car also has third row seating, however we don't use that, as our trunk space is mostly reserved for the dog. This is a super dependable smaller sized SUV.
Story
We often take this on road trips to Pismo beach, and can stop and picnic in the back of the car. Nothing too memorable yet!
Pros
1. It's a Toyota! Our previous Toyota was rocking 280,000+ miles when we crashed it, and it was still running like a champ. We're hoping this one will too, and have no doubts that it won't. 2. It's small enough to easily navigate through city traffic and parking, but large enough to fit our family, dog, and possibly other friends. 3. It's super dependable, and we take it on road trips often. 4. Has 4 wheel drive, and is great for getting up to the mountains
Cons
1. The front seats have electric motors for movement. It takes FOREVER to move the seat back and forth. My husband is 6', I am 5'2. We are constantly adjusting the seat as we share the car. 2. It is a little short in length. This is great for city driving, but when fully loaded, a little more space would be desirable. The infant car-seat requires the front passenger seat to be moved forward to fit.
